Think he has gone down the system first and trying to get players to fit into it. Now I am "normally" very much in the players to suit the system camp but right now for us with no prospect of bring any suitable players for this system in the near future we should be finding a system to suit the players we are "stuck" with. It is certainly not working currently.

Good example right here - I for instance am on the other side to this thinking that Pearson hasn't been very good but the players should be doing better for sure.

It is the coaching and tactics that really concern me. Sort that out and we have the playing squad to be mid table. Find it very strange that it hasn't happened despite the shambles currently on show. Hopefully, as he hinted, things will change.

Not sure on the "coming out" part. Have consistently said that the coaching, management and organisation currently is woeful. Excuses are being made and people who haven't been at the club for months are being blamed as a deflection. There is an acceptance of failure and player blaming to justify what is going on. We will go down if things continue as they have for the last month. These players are not useless and uncoachable. All just my opinion though and currently still in the minority but will not be drinking the Kool Aid thank you.

The type of complacency and acceptance of failure that will get us relegated. Much more to this than "form tables" and "stats". This team is shot and imploding before our eyes. Just my opinion and many will disagree.

It might be that something is going on behind the scenes on this right now. The acceptance of poor performance on the pitch, staff changes, lack on investment in new players etc Whole thing looks like "treading water" until the Summer.

Sadly we are a "bang it forward" side. Dribbling is actively discouraged. If you are going to play that way you have to have a big target man up front to hold the ball up and bring runners in to play or else the ball keeps coming back. Pointless playing Wells and Weimann in a route one team.

Brownhill was the biggest loss - totally under rated and everything we don't currently have in our midfield rolled into one player - IMO

You may well be right, I'm not convinced but as you say get Williams, Baker and Semenyo in the team and they should improve us to the level of staying up, in theory anyway.

Very optimistic outlook. Hope you are right. My fear is that we are regressing as a team and that the players look totally bereft of confidence, belief or organisation. Can't suddenly pull out of a "tail spin" like that.

Appreciated but after watching our last few home games our default tactics resemble very much a "take a touch and bang forward" approach. Certainly appears that way to me.

We still seem to be picking up injuries at regular intervals, maybe it would be more without Rennie ? The Simpson and Downing situation is odd though. The assumption is they were got rid of/paid off but is there a possibility they wanted out ?

Man City cup games was the "high water mark" it has been a steady decline from that point until a couple of months ago. Now it is total shambolic freefall.
