King was singled out for praise and is clearly held in high regard by all the players and had a fantastic career. Closest we’ve got to a Pearson disciple although he will come with his own ideas. King will get us playing with passion and pride as Manning has to go as sucked the energy from players and fans alike. I’d give him role as caretaker and reassess managers position in summer. Unlikely to happen but would be the best solution with 8 to go.
Great post this mate

The clock was on 94 which was the end of the 4 extra minutes. When he blew up for the foul they obviously thought it was the end of the game.

I bumped into this guy walking back to the pub after the game
He was pretty chilled about what happened and acknowledged he got in a confrontation
What did annoy me a few people were checking he was OK and he refused treatment that the police were trying to arrange for him
He was advised to head back to the station, but him and his mate decided to go back into the park, so little sympathy
This bloke was thrown out during the 2nd half by the police for continually arguing with the stewards. He obviously wanted to put himself in the shop window by standing down the front by the black netting and the stewards were having none of it.

Hang on , before the match people were saying what an excellent bench we had. Praising Manning for his intelligent player rotations. So which is it?
Knackered, too many games and in need of a week off.
Big rest this week then if it goes pear shaped at Hillsborough then we will all go into meltdown

We had an intense period after Xmas last year because we had a cup run too. We had 4 FAC games before the end of Feb.
And we had a smaller squad, starting players like Kingy and OTC.
LM has had a “squad” over this period.
Just get the eff on with it.
God knows how well cosenpe with the extra 3 play off games
Well the last sentence has lightened the mood

Give them a week off? Pearson got slated by the powers to be for that and after that dross yesterday and manning moaning he hasn't had enough time training I don't think that will happen.
I haven't got time to go through the stats but i was wondering if big Nige would have had an 11 week spell where they were plaing every 4 days?

Twenty games in 81 days has certainly taken its toll and that was the biggest factor in yesterdays poor performance in my opinion.
I hear Liam talk about spending more time with the players on grass during midweek to get his ideas over, this week however i would scrap that idea.
This week i would give them all extra time off to recharge the batteries so they are all fresh and ready for the challenge at Hillsborough on Saturday.
Im sure a week of getting your ideas over can wait.

So years ending in a 4.
1894- founded.
1904- our reserves enter the western league an win div 2 as champions. (Initially put div 1 because was thinking of top div as western prem, but don't think that was the term then)
1914- nothing
1924- relegated from 2nd tier
1934- Welsh cup winners
1944- football suspended
1954- nothing
1964- nothing
1974- Leeds win
1984- Div 4 promotion
1994- Liverpool win
2004- lost playoff final
2014- nothing
2024?
Knowing City, loose at Stoke on the last day to miss out on the play-offs on goal difference

Yes , agreed , but a late winner with some fun celebration for us in away end
Vital win that set us for a must win last home game against Doncaster to get us into the playoffs in front of 18,000.

Contrary to the derision I’ve seen thrown in his direction over the years he was actually a cracking signing for us
Brought something entertaining , and some special moments to us (York City away anyone ) and we received , what in those days was a really significant fee for us which must have helped in building the 89/90 side.
Weve had hundreds that haven’t made any impact and certainly who have we have wasted money on , let alone make a decent and significant profit
I was at York to witness Ralphs goal, definitely a cross that flew straight in.

I was in the Open End home section, never been so cold in my life. Mates left at half time and I didn’t blame them. 2nd half was like an endurance test and the game finished 1-1.
Fair play for sticking it out. I was at the back of Williams B block cuddling some random stranger to keep warm

Looks like the only thing we have in common is the Bills.
Be thankful for what we've got as it could be a hell of a lot worse

I still think the best story regarding the inbreds was back in December when their CEO Anthony Hall while on a podcast described Swindon season tickets holders as freeloaders.
He suggested that they only buy season tickets to benefit from the free games. Nothing like getting the fan base on your side!

Sheffield Wednesday was still the best all those years ago. Apparently they were bringing their usual big following which became impossible due to heavy snow. Those that made it to a absolute freezing old Park end section were told at half time that the M5 and M1 motorways were now shut.
On top of that one of our lot in the Park end home section only had a football shirt on.
