Absolute disgrace of Scunthorpe to do this, no attempt to honour the integrity of the league or respect Northampton. Most people expected them to get beat, but to effectively put out a side that was three quarters a youth team in a fixture that effected the promotion places is pathetic.

It was two seasons after we’d gone bust & we were a team of free transfers & kids, that’s why.

Unlike them, we have never been back (or non league).

Honour the integrity of the league?

They've been shite all season,  they've only won 4 games and conceded 91.

Some times you've just got to say well done

I suppose by immediately I meant even though it was still morning the loud and bad language and alcohol being consumed suggested it was only going one way and wasn’t going to end well. The constant bad language was even worse on the Brum to Stoke train.

Dont get me wrong, I’ve been on trains early drinking on away days but always try and remember there’s others on that train that are with children and nothing to do with football. I didn’t see the later scenes that have been mentioned but overall it doesn’t sound good does it?

I was wondering because you said you were immediately embarrassed when you saw them getting on the train. I was wondering if you were on the train or the platform?

It wasn't 8 on 1, there were 5 of them but the other 4 let their mate get battered

I did wonder at the time I bet his mates are well pssed off with him

  4. The surprising thing for me yesterday was how long it took for a steward or policeman to arrive on the scene.  That incident in the video went on for a good couple of minutes, imagine if it had been a medical emergency.

It would be tone deff and a pr disaster if the club ticket prices up,

With food going up energy going up (mines gone up by 900 quid) council tax going up and only MP wages going up to cover for this crisis, its madness not reducing prices imo

    Spot on

Theres not going to be a lot of spare cash around going forward the way the energy and fuel prices are going.

  6. No surprise really,  if you live out that way it would be one of your closest away games of the season.

Cambridge is the local derby but you wouldn't expect a big ticket allocation there,  other than that Charlton would be the next big away day.

Considering NP was a no nonsense centre Half I'm surprised that you have the joint second worst goals conceded in the championship.

The selection that is baffling a lot of people from yesterday is how Atkinson, a lump of a centre half we bought from Oxford who can play a bit as well didnt get selected to have a battle with Mitrovic.

For Pearson to say he picked Zak because he has been playing well was a nonsense. We lacked a physical presence, surely its horses for courses  and needed someone to go toe to toe with the Serb yesterday.

In more recent times I remember winning at Cardiff when Scott Murray did 'that celebration' after scoring. After the match I had to get across the Ninian Park car park to get to my motor. There was a full scale riot and the Soul Crew were driving back the South Wales Police. I turned to one copper and said 'I have to get across the car park' he just grinned and said 'good luck, we can't help you because we have lost control' I still don't really know how I made it across, I kept looking at my feet and walking, I felt breath on my neck more than once but just didn't look up. The vicious atmosphere was such that if I'd been hit to the ground I really think there would have been a good chance of me being killed.

Whenever this game is mentioned I often wonder what happened to the City lad who was in front of me as we left the ground. I was looking at the sea of faces where my car was parked as a brick hit him full in the face splitting it open and felling him to his knees. Luckily for me he was a good foot taller than me otherwise it had my name on it.
