Maybe he’ll become better when we improve the squad around him. But who knows how long that would take with everything going on with the financial situation. Personally I think he could become a good player but whether this is the right club for him unfortunately is what I’m questioning.

Second game sorry, so he’s had longer to work with his squad than LM, interesting. of course it matters when you play them in singularities, if you talking about timings of squad availability and stuff like that, that’s pretty much a given. I meant in terms of the overall picture, whether someone had been successful or not and so on. Everything balances out over the course of a whole season. We were lucky when we played Plymouth they rested half their 11, was that mentioned on here then? I was busy getting BT coffee and cake. Dave I won’t put massive paragraphs like you, I’ll simply ask a simple yes or no question. If City signed a striker now, not a versatile forward a pure number 9, and he had 12 and 6 in 45 games. Would there be moaning and utter madness on this forum about the recruitment? Edit: that was his best season since 2016

Yeah I see what you’re saying Kev, there is always that danger. But I think the squad is filled with good professionals, and good people for that matter, to get behind LM and Chris Hogg. I hope anyway. As we all should.

His legs were gone in that season as well by what it looked like. Scoring 12 goals being a main striker isn’t anything special. How many of those goals came from weimann having the season of his life and Semenyo being…well…Semenyo. And both of them garnering most of the defensive attention on the scouting report. All good saying how much CM contributed, but I think it’s obvious Wells in trio would of been a lot better over the season.
