  1. I echo what others have said on here regarding Andy. Whilst he was never a star player for us he was always reliable and you knew what you were going to get from him week from week. Thanks for everything Andy and best of luck for the future!

  2. I am keen for us to get Twine on a perm. The upturn in results has come with him in the team and whilst I know its not all down to him I have been impressed more so in the last few as he has regained his fitness. There is a chance to do a really good deal here however I understand it could potentially be tough to pull it off. I am adamant we will try and pull of this deal but wouldn't bank on him being hear at the end of the transfer window.

Personally if we are playing a back three I prefer Tanner, Dickie and Roberts.

Dickie has to play in the middle of the three due to his lack of pace. I also think Vyner struggles playing one of the wider Centre Back spots. Harsh it might sound but you need to play the players best suited to that position. Tanner on the right and Roberts on the left just feels a better balance.

If playing a back four then Vyner and Dickie no question. Atkinson been out for a year so will have a big fight on his hands to get back in.

I completely agree with this. If Atkinson can regain his old form he will be brilliant.

Didn't watch the match but delighted for him getting his first City goal

When I made this thread I forgot to mention his first City goal! Shows how good he was all round today.

I just think that James’ age will go against him if we can only keep one of them (he’ll be 33 at the start of next season). Williams really is at peak age (27, 28 in Dec)

Yeah I can totally understand that point, fair enough. I reckon it will be Williams that ends up staying if I were to guess.

Got to get ahead of Bazunu, Travers and Kelleher.  That’s the problem.  In fairness, Bazunu has looked poor this season.

Yeah should be ahead of Bazunu. Travers has gone back to Bournemouth and become a bench warmer a part from cup games. Kelleher been playing for Liverpool recently during Alisson's absence but now Allison is back won't see much game time. But surely got to be called up with his form.

anyone else think he looked uneasy after that kick in the first half?  thought it was only a matter of time before he siezed up and bajic came on but fair play to him,he saw the game out without any issues

Yeah I just commented on another thread about it. I assumed Bajic would come on straight away especially as there is nothing to play for in the season now and no need to risk making his knock any worse. As you say fair play for him continuing the game out though.

In regards to the main topic of this thread, I have always been a strong supporter of Max as people will notice with my previous comments on here. I don't believe he will go in the summer and I am very confident he will be here at the end of the summer but football is a weird sport and anything can happen. Still would like another backup to Max as the club obviously don't rate Bajic, if they did I reckon he would have come on yesterday and they wouldn't have taken any risks with Max. But very happy to see him performing well and really hope he carries on getting better!

    Bit odd really.

Firstly we had Wells & Mehmeti stripped off to come on at the same time but then decided at the last minute only to bring on Nakhi, meaning we used 2 of our 3 sub opportunities when Anis came on a few minutes later.

Next Bajic spent virtually the whole of the second half in the tunnel area stripped off & warming up.

It was weird that as time ticked away we didn’t make that 3rd change.

Worked out ok in the end but was baffling.

I see Bajic most games stood there in the tunnel area he doesn't seem to sit down! When Max got a massive knock in the first half he went out to warm up in case he was needed but Max carried on. Max looked like he was really struggling yesterday with the knock he had and was trying to play through the pain I think.

  9. Fantastic performance by him again brings such confidence to the defence in front of him, saved the penalty albeit not a very good pen. Since the Cov game has become really consistent again, well done Max keep it up!

  10. Incredibly happy for George Tanner, on the pitch for a chunk of the season has been hard for him but recently he has looked incredible and I really hope this continues for him. I think right now Atkinson will find it hard to come into the back 3 and will have to work very hard to get there.

  11. Whilst it is frustrating to concede so late on, at the start of the day I am sure that a lot of us would have taken a point. It's not an easy place to go to and we are unbeaten against them this season. We have also seen Conway and Wells on the pitch together for the first time in a while and hopefully that has shown LM what they can do together. Onto Leeds...

We need a new keeper. He’s improved but costs us too many points. Typical of us, create zero for weeks and then concede two when we score two, this club eh! Cursed?

I'm not at all defending him for the goal because it was his fault but he has saved us a lot of points this season and this is his first clear mistake that led to a goal for a while

  13. Thought Max was brilliant tonight. Admittedly, didn't have tons to do but when called into action thought he was sensational. Kicking was great, he was coming out to catch balls. Along with the fantastic defence we have we look brilliant at the back.
