  1. I am one of Max's biggest fans, he may still have some dodgy kicking but at the end of the day he saves us a lot of points. As we progress as a team it is going to be interesting to see whether Manning sticks with Max or whether in the summer he looks to get in a different goalkeeper, I really hope he sticks with Max because I am confident he can get even better to how he is now, he has also saved Vyner a lot of times recently notably against West Ham when he set up TC's goal.

  2. Thank you for all your services to the club Andi. Ever since he has arrived I have never questioned his effort he always put 100% into every game he played represented by him being given captaincy. Thank you for all the memories Andi, I look forward to welcoming you back to Ashton Gate in the future.

I dunno what he did, so no idea on timescale.

Yeah, neither but seemed to know straight away he was unable to continue, but lets see what LM says. Hope it is nothing bad because we will really miss him.

He was in Belfast last night.

    (according to his Instagram)

Reckon he may be a few weeks if I were to guess. Assume we will hear more when LM does his West Ham presser.

  5. Thought Pring was excellent today but looked knackered at the end, this is where it would be good to have Roberts back to bring him on so Pring doesn't have to play every minute of every game. Worried about Sykes, from where I was straight away he seemed to go down and he knew straight away he was done, very very worrying. I was surprised Yeboah was taken out the squad I know King came back in but was expecting Manning to take out Nelson or something but imagine now with Sykes' injury he will be back on the bench. Would be great to have McCrorie back next week or the week after at Preston think he will turn out to be an excellent signing. Also, looking forward to getting Rob back would love to see both Rob's in a team together!

In terms of our performance and the result, that was poor, frustrating, and very disappointing.

For the second consecutive game, it was low on quality, and we never looked like scoring.

As per my half time reflections our lack of forward movement/ momentum and creativity has to be addressed.

If I’m looking for positives, there aren’t many. I thought Dickie had a very good game and Max did very well with his distribution on occasions.

Perhaps the best performance on the day was the referee, who I thought had an excellent game.

Remarkable how well we played at Watford and how poorly we played today and last time out against Birmingham. As has been said on many, many occasions consistency is key and we are horribly inconsistent.

So there goes our unbeaten run and the first chance of the season to do the double.

Sorry JB but completely disagree with you on this point thought the ref wasn't great today.

Well… not sure what to say. That winner is the most I’ve lost my head at the Gate in an age. Jumping around and hugging strangers has never felt sweeter!

Conway seemed to take a knock but was well enough to run off so probably nothing thankfully.

Merry Christmas mate. Thank you for all the updates throughout the year, it is great to have an updated injury list every game.

God, I’ll get my tin hat ready. I thought he was a bit loose defensively. He did some great stuff, but he got caught by quite a few long balls tonight. He’s generally the “cover” do Dickie can go tight. I thought that part of his game was a bit off tonight.

So a good performance for me, not brilliant and not a MOTM contender imho.

I agree Dave, I think that tackle he did in the first half stopping a 1v1 was exceptional but I go back to a time in the second half where Hull had a player attacking down the right and Zak came over but let the player get past him, he needs to improve on that type of thing because he got caught out against Norwich. But what I will say is I think Zak has really turned a corner now in his City career and it's nice to see and long may it continue.

  9. So happy for the lad really nice to see him get a goal. I was hoping he would score soon because recently he has really earnt a goal and it was great for him to get his first Ashton Gate goal. Without doubt my MOTM, right now he is looking a completely different player to the Mehmeti we saw at QPR a month and a half ago. Bell was given game after game and I wanted Mehmeti to be given the same because I think when you give a player like Mehmeti a run in the team he will take his chances. He will still have his ups and downs like every player but I really hope tonight has helped him turn a corner and show the fans what he is capable of. Well done Anis!

  10. Latest injury news ahead of tomorrow from Liam Manning's press conference:
Ross McCrorrie- Back in early January

Andy King- Closer than others along with McCrorrie

Kal Naismith- On treadmill but a little while away

Rob Atkinson- Jan at some point, back on grass soon

Haydon Roberts- Not far until he is back on grass, return in Jan

A couple of players suffering with illness so will be reviewed tomorrow.

Seems quite a lot of injured players back in Jan all being well. Good news about Ross, will be great to get him back!

  11. Mehmeti was on his weaker side and Bell was on his stronger side and yet Mehmeti was better. I personally believe Mehmeti was the best of the subs that came on and right now I agree left wing is one of our weakest positions but I really can't see any reasons why Bell or Weimann deserve to play instead of Mehmeti. I would love to see him given a few games in the side to give him a proper spell rather than a sub appearance and the occasional start.

Today is a good day, when we needed it. All the injury returns seem unscathed, though we did have a few in the wars today, as is normal for a scrappy game. Weimann, Conway and O’Leary all took hits but fingers crossed, all seemed ok.

Rob Dickie, clean sheets and goals. My favourite signing in yonks.

    Injured:

    McCrorie

    Atkinson

    Roberts

    King

    Williams

    Benarous

    Wells

What injury has Roberts got? Still struggling from that knock he got the other week from Ipswich?
