That sounds nuts. Was there an area where you were expected to go in the ground as an away fan or did you just go anywhere?

I can remember going to a Brentford v Exeter game in the 70’s where fans just swapped ends at half time and even that dog without a few scuffles .

Yes (shock horror probe) you went anywhere you bloody well liked !

The one race I decide to stay in bed and not get up, and THAT happens! The cheering was brilliant to hear I have to say, and his stroppy face! :D

Still watching it (delayed obviously) C’mon Norris!

Once again Norris didn't get a single mention in the BBC write up of the race, just the winner and how poorly Hamilton did , along with Russell . Has he done something to offend the hacks at the beeb, **** me , he IS British !

  3. Does no one remember the 2-1 FA cup replay win at Eastville in 68 ? Galley and Crowe, THAT was a great night, completely took over the Tote. All ticket game, they sold any tickets to anyone, no segregation in them days !

Strong argument that the best players in La Liga and Bundesliga are both English. Not sure we've ever been able to say that before.

Plus a plethora of English talent in the Premier League.

Us and France will have the two best squads in the tournament this summer.

    ....... and still won't win !

They could have easily run this same piece with Blackburn.

Just 'happens' to be a focus on us, written by the BBC editorial author for the West of England (Sophie Hurcom covers some of our game write ups) who happens to have contact with the club via BBC Bristol.

It's a fluff piece. About the one topic I don't doubt Tinnion's knowledge of.

Ultimately doesn't mean alot when we're sliding down the table in a nothing season with Conway likely to leave for prospective pennies in the summer.

Is that the same Challis who played for the gash a few years ago ?

With the greatest respect, the road narrows and there are two big blue signs saying Busses, Taxis and Cycles only.
How you missed these is beyond me. I think the buss gate is utterly ridiculous and just puts more traffic to the other side of the river!
    I think it’s £35 a go !

Welcome to the morons that are BCC!

I'm sure they do it just to **** up any City traffic. Didn't know about Busgate , coming back from the airport yesterday, is there any signs saying no through road at the Hotwells end of Cumberland Rd, because we didn't notice it ?

    Guinea Pigs and Budgies

Yeah, don't see the point..................... is it guinea pigs or hamsters who have that repulsive "sticky out" ass, looks like they've suffered a mega prolapse ?

Well I heard a little whisper that the Leicester board has been less than fully transparent with the ownership and there's more than a little discontent at the King Power right now.

Issues off the pitch and on the pitch between players and coaches.

Hence their fall off in form of recent weeks ?

Looks like Pompey, Derby and then the usual lottery of P.Os. Just been reading a Reading paper that confirms there are only four teams with bigger away support than them (Royals) this season. Not sure who these are but almost certainly the current top 3 plus one. I couldnt bear to go on to a Gas site to see if their away support is still in the tens of thousands every week but it will be good to have Pompey and Derby at AG again and also as good away trips for us

Royals away support averages 1200 this season; not bad for a crisis club in a vicious downward spiral.

Before the season started, Gasheads were all over Social Media telling us all how they had the best squad they’ve ever assembled and that promotion was a formality…..So I guess that leaves 2 other spaces which will probably be Derby and Pompey. Think I’d prefer Bolton over Derby

Might be true..................but a very low bar !

    Yep.

Tommy had the chance of a life time to go to the Euros. He may never get that chance again.

Put Tommy Conway in Coventrys team for example and he'll get 15-20 goals.

Liam Manning has destroyed Tommy Conway. For anyone to suggest otherwise would be laughable.

Manning came in and took Tommy aside and told him to stop being Tommy Conway, he wanted to mould him himself. This is indisputable facts. Both Tommy and LM have said this.

Rather than playing to Tommy Conways strengths Liam Manning has done the total opposite. But thats because Liam Manning wants to be the guy that gets the plaudits. He wants to be attributed with turning Conway into a different type of player.

Conway will leave here in the summer because of this with £s knocked off his value.

To be fair to Tommy he has tried to buy into Mannings methods but it just does not suit the type of player he is.

I for one don't blame the lad at all for wanting out of this shit show.

Manning has cost him a place at the Euros and I feel angry for the lad that he has been treated like this.

Has he ever played TC and NW together, for instance ?

  12. IMHO I think they ought to do away with all this FFP or whatever and let clubs spend what they want (like back in the old days), the clubs will soon find their natural levels, those who want to be taken over can be...........oh and NO parachute payments . If clubs want to mortgage themselves to the hilt in search of progress, let'em .

That's what struck me seeing him live. Saw Ian Dury too, although his limp was worse than SH.

Yes, I saw Steve at a festival in the mid 80's, never noticed him limp, perhaps it got worse with age ?  One thing I do remember though was he was quite balding, I reckon he had a hair transplant, but good luck to him and RIP .
