A win and Bristol Sport bot posts.
Tiresome.
You could have asked the hypothetical question without the gushing praise.
You could also have asked why it appears to be the case that James is not being renewed in what would be a brainless decision - you’ve got a line in, so ask.
Sorry to disappoint, but I know the OP and he's got nothing to do with Bristol Sport.............of course I could be a BS "bot" and that's exactly what I would say !

What is the point of them?
Absolute nothing club.
Even more "boring" than us, at least we do it in a higher league !

Stuart Taylor was a real gentleman.
I never met Larry Lloyd, but I met Stuart Taylor several times and, together with Graham Day, another Rovers centre back stalwart who I knew quite well, they were both really nice men.
Sadly, all three of the aforementioned Rovers centre backs have now passed away.
I remember LL had a very sort of high pitched voice for a big bloke !
(put me in mind of Dave Davis ( Kinks) voice )

He played in that cup replay I mentioned in 68 on another thread, we wo 2-1.
Him and Stuart Taylor were known as the Twin Towers !

Personalty, I don't see the problem, as long as the bets don't involve their own teams .

You can, the FA enable this sort of behaviour as do the clubs,
There is gambling advertising everywhere, there is no programme for addicts, there is massive punishment but no help,
Sorry, they know the rules !

I can blame the FA for the way they are currently ostracising addicts rather than getting them the help they need. They might even learn better ways to prevent/solve the issue in future as a by-product.
Too meny bleeding hearts in the world !

while the England game is on five extra?
Not all cars are fitted with a DAB radio.
The Welsh game will also be on BBC radio Wales and BBC radio Cymru.
At least Talksport knows its audience and the England game will be on Talksport
Well then , listen to that then and stop whinging if it means that much to you !

Yes they are apparently, and all the electrics being done which I assume will include the floodlights. I agree about the current state of the lighting, when teams arrive with numbers that aren't that distinctive on their shirts it can be a nightmare trying to ascertain, under those poor lights, who has scored etc to make the announcement.
I stand on the far side (always have) and being a tad colour blind ,when the play was over the other side I had a job differentiating the two teams , the kits merging into "all grey" under those lights !

Unless we're looking at a different BBC report, I counted six separate mentions for Norris.
The one I was looking at yesterday lunchtime didn't mention him, even so very pathetic coverage, more interested in deadbeats .

I believe that is also being done. Plus the pitch is being widened outwards with the far side being knocked down and rebuilt so there is more room between the touchlines and the perimeter fencing/walls.
I was doing the ground announcing on Thursday night.
Couldn't hear that ,either ! Seriously, are they going to encroach into the "hut field", that will all cost a few bob ,won't it ?

Yes it was. Increasing numbers of non league clubs opting for that now.
Next season Mangotsfield United will be playing on a plastic pitch for home games.
Never mind plastic pitches, they could do with a decent set of lights, went Thursday night, could hardly see a thing , surprised they are deemed suitable !

Saw the first game at Ashton Gate 0-0. Dad was a Rovers fan, so I went with him.
Wouldnt let me go to the reply, because of school the next day, I was 10
Had to queue up at Eastville Sunday morning for tickets, queue stretched all the way past the station (got South Enc tickets). I think the crowd was getting on for 30k .

That sounds nuts. Was there an area where you were expected to go in the ground as an away fan or did you just go anywhere?
I can remember going to a Brentford v Exeter game in the 70’s where fans just swapped ends at half time and even that dog without a few scuffles .
Yes (shock horror probe) you went anywhere you bloody well liked !

The one race I decide to stay in bed and not get up, and THAT happens! The cheering was brilliant to hear I have to say, and his stroppy face!
Still watching it (delayed obviously) C’mon Norris!
Once again Norris didn't get a single mention in the BBC write up of the race, just the winner and how poorly Hamilton did , along with Russell . Has he done something to offend the hacks at the beeb, **** me , he IS British !

Does no one remember the 2-1 FA cup replay win at Eastville in 68 ? Galley and Crowe, THAT was a great night, completely took over the Tote. All ticket game, they sold any tickets to anyone, no segregation in them days !

Pretty sure there were more City than gash, Muller Rd and most of the South enclosure (where I was ), a lot of them from the South Enc, invaded the pitch when we scored .
