Laid up in bed with an absolute sod of a virus and quite unable to get to the game. Was really looking forward to this one after all the transfer activity, so degree of pissed-offness registering about ten on the Richter Scale. Only Radio Bristol to console me and we all know what they're like, so relying on otib to keep me in touch with what's really going on. Keep those updates coming, lads. Cheers, CC.

Me to, not well at all !

4,000 in the away end? You must be dreaming; you'd be hard pressed to cram that number into the whole of the stadium at Cossham Street when they embark on yet another ground share before they do another "Pikey" trick.

They better ****** not, I live near there !

Yep I remember that to Phil you and your mates crushed right up into the far corner of the East End, protected by the old Bill, just like in the Tote when we visited, happy days.

No you didn't ever. And there seems to be a few here who seem to know my identity as in some bloke from kingswood - don't even know where that is- st andrews resident and proud to live somewhere decent....

Only on the wind up, mate. I know it was never taken, just like we NEVER lost to William ! at Senlac Hill, your boys saw them right off !

But you sound like a bunch of ten year old arguing over who's the hardest. It doesn't matter a jot. And it's only history in that it's in the past, it doesn't need rewriting either way and certainly doesn't need defending. The history of our club is what's happened on the pitch, people fighting on the terraces is really a bit of an embarrassing chapter and should be forgotten if at all possible.

    yadda yadda, whatever

. All that's happening here right now is a few old men's egos being polished up a bit.

All that's happening is some dick-head gapper comes here and tries to rewrite history.

A few of us are just telling what actually happened with FIRST HAND accounts, as opposed. to his made up, obviously wasn't there,  versions !

Anyway, it will never be proved either way now. If camera phones were around at that time we could easily put this to bed.

Doesn't have to be proved, We KNOW it and more importantly they KNOW it (those around in them days ) !

I do remember being in the Tote End ,right in the middle with all the City boys .Remember singing the Galley Galley song .I must have been about 14 .Do not remember much resistance being put up that night . But to be fair Rovers did have a pretty good mob back then . Mind you lots of teams did didnt they .

Yes , no one is saying they were wimps back then, but what invariably "won" it for the City was sheer weight of numbers !
