  1. There will be various posts about how well season ticket sales are going, speed of take up etc etc. to make others think they are alone in not renewing. Many will renew, for a multitude of reasons, as they would even if we were heading to L1. It is a passion, habit, social , whatever. But, it would be very surprising if sales numbers were high, there will be indecision. Not helped by the tv schedule disrupting kick off times, money is tight.
  2. This interview makes it very clear Tinnion was involved. It is also pretty clear that what Tinnion thought Manning was, and has been proven to be far from the reality. We did not do our due dilligence. I remain very confused about Tinnion stating he spoke with Richard Keogh about Manning, as it would appear that Mannng arrived 8 months after Keogh had left MK Dons . This may explain a lot. Are the published dates wrong? Did Keogh ever work with Manning at MK Dons (he certainly never played a game for Manning). Was Keogh on a wind up to Tinnion? Am I missing an element here? https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-transfers-liam-manning-8894446
  3. “I think the person he is, that won’t be an issue,” Tinnion said. “He’s a good person and he’ll get that respect. I’ve spoken to Richard Keogh who was at MK Dons, and he said he was fantastic. I spoke to Richard during the process, when he was identified and he spoke really, really highly of him. " I am as confused as you are now. Keogh joined Huddersfield on the 19 th Jan 21 , Manning joined in August 21. This is quite astounding , he spoke to a player who as at MK Dons, but not when Manning was there. No wonder our due dilligence was wrong
  4. Tinnion himself said he was involved, and spoke to some of Mannings ex players. (I seem to recall Richard Keogh as one, but not sure if he crossed paths with Manning at MKD)
  5. It’s important that when we have talented football people in the building, we invest time in young players that we can see a future in, and it’s also important that we invest time in talented football people towards the end of their career,” Pearson said. “So what do I mean by that? I think he’s got a future in the game as a coach and probably a manager. “He’s here, he’s very keen to stay and, you never know, he might manage the club one day. Why not invest time in him? And he’s still got a lot to offer as a player as well. He’s bright enough, he’s got the game understanding, he’s still ambitious – I think he’ll make a good manager.
  6. We are all forgetting Kelly. In my view, Kelly, Tinnion and Manning need all to go. The club needs a radical reset with a real CEO and Chairman, Technical Director and head coach/manager. Jon L needs to become non executive . The task ahead is massive but needs to happen.
  7. I would absolutely give King the caretaker role until seasons end. No chance of relegation, we cannot get worse can we? He may surprise a few people. It is what we should have evolved to , with Nige, (keeping Curtis and Dave R also ) IMHO.
  8. Sunday lunch at the Lansdowns
  9. This is why the venting needs to go to the people who created this mess . We have some good people playing for us and there is , in my view , no doubt they are suffering . You can see in their body language . They don’t want this either. After 2 weeks on the training pitch , the next home game will need a performance or it could be Manning and Tinnion’s last game .
  10. I agree and thought this some months ago . So the performance will be everything to stop that happening . But the owner needs to hear some resentment rather than snoring. But we did best Southampton 3-0 ( 3-1)
  11. Yes it was . Personally , and I am quite negative to this , I do not like belittling our team like that. Ok end of game comment or boos , but we are all city fans . It is aimed at the players and right now there are many others at the club that deserve some comment . How about some chants at our next home game against the owners to start with

    Emotion

One of your best ever posts . I 100 percent agree .
  13. I quote 3-0 too. On purpose.
  14. No, he was a player Manning scouted extensively last season. At least that is what Manning said. So I assume he rated him.
  15. We had some chances that second half, but we look devoid of confidence and any semblance of a game plan. Gone is our determined and aggressive approach, with a commitment from every player, where we at least made a game of it. We are back to BCFC of old, timid and limp. Everything that needs to be said has been said on here and on many threads over the last weeks. This season is over , but you can hardly look forward to 24/25. If the owner and Tinnion thinks we are on the right road then they are in for a terrible shock next season.
  16. Well he is not my Nige. He is not my dad. But that is very sad to hear.
  17. At least they have 2 weeks on the training ground during the international break. To prepare for Leicester at home. Thye are a bit off form right now. I wonder if Nige will come along?
  18. The away fans singing "we're effin sh1T " But we are actually having some good chances right now, just poor finishing.
  19. Only started on the second half, so no view on the first. But this is rather too easy for WBA. It's more like a friendly now. But we did beat Southampton 3-0

  21. Some will remember the fast show and Jesse's diets "This week I have been mostly playing like Ipswich"
  22. Tinnion too harshly? Well that takes some beating. I really appreciated him as a player, but he destroyed his reputation with his underhand behaviour back in the day. Guess what ? He was back to form in recent times. He is overpromoted, and, quite incredibly, has become the Lansdown family reference point for football strategy. He is so far off the required standard it hurts, and even worse, the Lansdown family believe what he is saying. That says much more about their judgement than his ability. He needs to go, but he is not alone.
  23. I am expecting the Christmas party highlights.
  24. We are one seriously weird club.
