  1. Well, he was signed to make an impact this season. He was not signed on loan to have a trial was he? He needs time, and did nothing in Belgium, so he will need to get up to speed but Manning scouted him extensively last year when he played U21 football, so he was signed to do something this year, and I hope we see why one day. He has 12 more games to do so, some sub appearances will be the start, as with other junior players. But he needs to show something for the fee suggested.
  2. I don't think Manning (or anyone) would have that luxury again.
  3. I don't disagree. I get why we tried to do it, but he has not developed at anywhere near the rate he needed to.
  4. I doubt . There was a reason he was out of the team and working on his game . He needs intensive work to bring out his best .
  5. I don’t know . I guess he wanted Mehmeti for L1 . One of the other Jan signings was a Manning suggested one too , lad from Aldershot.
  6. Manning said he saw him play many times for Man City U21 last season . Said he was one of the best players . It seems he is a Manning suggested signing . So I guess it was a loan based on data and Manning extensively scouting him . Maybe not someone on our radar without Manning .
  7. He was raw , I could see what Nige wanted as an impact sub in the last phase of a game . But he did not look technically ready for Championship . But from 1 st team to under 18 and now on loan , that’s not a good look. I don’t believe you will see him in a first team game again with Manning here . Manning wants players with more experience it would seem . So back to the old system of multiple loans . We have had a good run of academy to 1 at team , there was always going to be a pause as it is very hard to make that jump . I have seen nothing to suggest Manning will deliver a single academy to 1 at team player . Partly due to his approach and also lack of talent . unless Steve reduces the wage bill and spending back to last summer and he has no options due to injuries. Tinnion needs to get his Waze app out and punch in 1 st team . It’s going to tell him there are a lot of delays .
  8. It is not a stark fact , you are confusing your opinion with fact . It is not a fact that the football was dull, I enjoyed many games under Pearson . You did not . That is your opinion . Not a stark fact .
  9. Actually, early season and before playing them, I thought our approach would ruffle Southampton, much as we did Swansea last year. I am not sure about the cup games though, in the sense how they would have played out, probably not as well. But if Pearson was in charge of back to back defeats against two of the bottom three, then I would, like most others be asking big questions. It was not as if "it was not our day" type performances either, or a lucky win for them. In both cases they deserved it, and in both cases, we hardly troubled them. That has to send alarm bells ringing, it was not as if the bench had 5 players who had never started a Championship game in their life. There is a context too. LM will have the next 12 games to show if he has got it. But if there is more of the same, no way would I head into next season with LM and the squad as we now know it (Tinnion transfer update). That looks like a relegation package to me, and we do not want a repeat of his MK situation where they signed (he was involved) lots of players, it did not work, and they were signed to play Manning ball as it now seems to be phrased (has he dome something special to have an approach named after him? Have I missed something? ) he could not find answers in difficulty, and they got relegated and he got sacked. What is very clear though is that we do not have a united club with everyone working together and in the same direction, or more succinctly, there is a total lack of leadership.
  10. I agree. The club has made a terrible change, fortunately, it will not create a relegation issue. We have someone out of their depth and learning on the job. He needs to learn fast. Tinnion is shown to be what he is, and needs sacking asap.
  11. I am not sure what is going on and I’m not interested in comparing to Pearson . Nige has gone . I am interested in Manning. So , zero points against 2 teams in the bottom 3 . That is crap . Dress it up as you want , but it is crap. Worse , we did not lay a glove on either .
  12. I would not sack now , no . But I want to see a substantial impact ( not even wins ) before the end of season . Based up to date , I would dump before next season . But he can have another 12 games for his work placement to show he has something worth progressing with . He has been underwhelming. Other clubs would have fired him after the last 2 games . A strong performance against Cardiff and players following his instructions is needed. But it gives you Deja vu when you hear the plan was good but the players did not follow through . We have a few of those t shirts
  13. If we want young and upcoming, put King in charge. He will not be worse. In fact I am almost certain, he would have been a better choice post Pearson. But get Tinnion out
  14. Pearson has gone. Manning is Manning and we have to judge him on his performance in the context of his tenure and circumstances. So far he looks miles out of his depth, but has the opportunity over 12 games to learn and evolve and deliver. But so far, if nothing changes, we need to cut our losses in the summer. He is certainly not what we had hoped for. What we have to avoid is an expensive and time wasting period where the owners try to justify a bad decision by hanging on, only to arrive at the inevitable conclusion. He has plenty of games to show what he can do, and does not mean winning 7 games for example, but giving some indication that he knows what he is doing when the situation os complex and demanding. Thankfully we did not bring him in to avoid a relegation.
  15. So post about how Manning is going to get it right. It is so boring when the only comment is "here we go again" What is it you are seeing that makes you think Manning is the right person. Or your post deserves the same response. Ostrich
  16. That was a very poor performance. Again. 2 sides from the bottom 3, zero points, and dire performances. A week off, players rested, time on the training pitch, and we are even worse. See you in the Prem Tinnion
  17. Down to 10, now surely we can do it. They will sit back. Wde have been better after the changes . We will do this.
  18. Much better after the changes, more intensity. We can do this
  19. Cornick shake em up ! Come on boys we can get back here
  20. We are not ourselves, It is like in In training sometimes you are not allowed to tackle, we are normally biting biting, but we are not there - Naismith
