  1. Absolutely sick of our injuries, it's never ending.
  2. What is going on in the south stand with all the empty seats? All seats are taken up in there, mainly season cards. Lots in the lower lansdown as well, find it embarrassing to be honest. Doesn't look good, and makes the attendance figure announced laughable. But more importantly on the pitch City were on it from the start, albeit against a poor Janners side who were all over the place. As soon as I seen the line up for them I fancied our chances.
  3. Watching tonight and been very impressed with him against the dutch. He's been a menace and when he's had the ball has shown vision and done good things with it. Had a good battle with Cody Gakpo just a minute ago and both were booked. Should have decked him Knighty ?
  4. Not many, off the pitch can't really fault him with the facilities significantly upgraded but I think it's quite telling how quiet SL in particular has been ln the last couple of years. I think he got the NP appointment right and realized he had to be given the time to sort out the mess the club was in, which he oversaw and ultimately let happen under his watch. His responsibility as much as LJ/MA,, but in truth I don't think he had much of a choice, can't just keep sacking managers especially with the financial state the club was in. In my opinion and it's just a hunch, even if there was a war chest available to spend I honestly don't think he would back him with it. Cotts springs to mind, neither him or Nige are yes men.
  5. Agree. In my opinion this club will never be able to push on on the pitch while the Lansdown's remain in power. Over the last two decades they (SL mainly) have proved that they aren't fit to run a football club when it comes to decision making side of things.
  6. It's about time we had home fans in a block or two of the Atyeo. Absolutely no reason why the club can't do it, they just won't do it.
  7. Meanwhile in 1909 the gas were playing in the downs league and few would've ever heard of them. The blue few, some things never change.

    Tommy Conway

I give up, I really do.
  9. He's better than Bournemouth. Already accepted that he's going to leave so it's not bitterness, but it's hugely disappointing if he ends up at a small club playing in front 10000 fans. Tinpot.
  10. Tell you what, i'm not really a betting man but I think I might just have a cheeky few quid with those odds. Seeing how good he is with both his feet and his head in front of goal, this could well be a nice little earner.
  11. Indeed, going to be interesting. Scott going (hopefully not of course) could dictate where he plays perhaps. If he does then it's a way of getting both Bell & Anis in the starting line up.
  12. Even before his quick double today, i've thought this could be a big season for Mehmeti. Having now settled in and with a full pre season i'm really looking forward to him terrorizing championship defences.
  13. Disgraceful, same goes for Sheffield Wednesday.
  14. Signed one year contract extension.
  15. I get what you are saying but with regards to Alex Scott it's not the same for me. Like Derby fans on their forum have been saying, Jason Knight's 'ceiling' is probably confined to championship level. Scott on the other hand is not only quite a bit younger, but his potential is ridiculous, his ceiling is a whole lot higher than a club like Bournemouth with all due respect. He could do better, and I suspect being the level headed and mature lad that he is, he knows he could do better. He will know i'm sure the number of clubs that have been reported to have interest in him, Spurs, Brighton, West Ham, Wolves, even Liverpool & Inter. Why would he go to Bournemouth? Not a good move for him, he can do so much better.
  16. Echo what others are saying, he could do so much better than that tinpot club. Would be both surprised and disappointed if he went there just to try and scrape not being relegated. They will come back down sooner rather than later. Brighton or West Ham would be ideal for him to fulfill his huge potential.
  17. Agree, he's like the glue that holds it all together.
  18. Personally pretty happy with the options City have up front. If Conway stays fit he'll bag 20 odd this season, like somebodies already mentioned he's got the knack, a natural goalscorer with a killer instinct. You've only got to look at the goals he scored last season, a mixture of bullet headers (Blackburn, Cardiff, Norwich, Rotherham), clinical finishes (Blackpool, Coventry, Swansea, Reading Burnley) and always in the right place for a tap in. Get crosses in, which we did a lot of last season and he will score a few.
  19. Notice a few of you on here picking Dickie at LCB, I thought he was right sided like he was at QPR, or can he play either side?
  20. Mmmm that's some heavy strapping.....
