  1. Thought he was excellent yesterday. Direct, fast, broke the lines and breezed through players with his leggy style. Tired towards the end but got himself into really good positions. Think he will be a real asset for us next season.
  2. Depends on how next season starts - he has done a lot of the dirty work and deserves huge credit for the way he has developed youngsters. OLeary, Pring, Vyner, Scott, Conway, Bell etc, been. Also deserves credit for cutting the dead wood. I would like to see how the season starts before we jump in with a new deal. We are 15th after all.
  3. Yes, they were errors in my opinion anyway.
  4. Today, Swansea and Cardiff. Last month and a half, 3 pretty clear and obvious errors.
  5. In my opinion he makes too many mistakes for a side that wants to push for the playoffs. A decent back up option.
  6. “Excel” is a ridiculous over statement. He commands his box in that he comes out and flaps. No way is he a long term number 1 for a championship side seeking promotion.
  7. Awful mistake by OLeary - he isn’t number 1 material
  8. We need at least 2 cbs assuming Kalas goes and Atkinson isn’t fully ready for the start of the season. Also can’t rely on Williams and Scott may be off.
  9. Depends on his attitude, we know NP likes to test players with spells out of the squad if they are not meeting his expectations - the question is whether Wilson is a Tanner, Pring Atkinson type or a Bakinson.
  10. I hope so, I will believe it when I see it. I’m not convinced prem sides will fork out that kind of money for him - not with add ons on top. Of course I could be completely wrong, I hope I am.
  11. I have no idea. I can see us getting £25 mil including add ons, but history tells us clubs rarely pay big cash for championship players - Scott of course may be the exception. I hope we get it.
  12. I suppose it depends whether we offer him a new deal. He would need to take a further wage reduction and we aren’t known for sentiment. Also depends on who the manager at the time is. He is 31, can’t see NP being here in 4/5/6 years when Weimann potentially retires.
  13. Ben Godfrey played 30 games for Norwich in the prem prior to signing for Everton. The other 2 are good examples.
  14. But they didn’t? Would be interested to see a list. Edit - sorry misread post.
  15. I hope so. But like I said it hasn’t happened in this division. I would be interested to see all Championship 20mil+ sales.
  16. Interesting points - I don’t see Wells being replaced as we have just offered him a new deal, I don’t see us signing a striker this summer.
  17. Of course, however when else has a 19 year old gone for £25 mil, no one has given an example.
  18. I think he has had an outstanding season - but he hasn’t necessarily been the stand out.
  19. That was having played 40 games in the prem previously, so while you are correct, he was already a prem league number one.
  20. He hasn’t been the outstanding player in the championship. Also, to answer your question, Carvalho at Fulham. Liverpool signed him for £5mil.
  21. Interesting, when was the last time a championship player left for £25mil+?
  22. Both NP and Tins have said we are going to be active in the transfer market and that we (finally) are going to have some money to spend, considering the manager likes a relatively small squad there must be players who are vulnerable if offers came in. Obviously we know that Kalas, DaSilva, King and Moore are OOC so there would be no surprise if these 4 left, however there are others who may be at risk too. Pring and Atkinson are both entering their last year but with 1 year options, which the club will no doubt activate. Weimann, James and Williams are entering their final year….James I would imagine is a shoe in for a new deal, NP loves him, however would the deal only be offered if NP signed a new contract - he is entering his final year after all. I see both Williams and Weimann as the 2 in the squad both at risk of becoming the next to fall out of the squad, neither are Pearson signings, Weimann in his early 30s and Williams injury prone…..can you see the club offering them new deals? Are they taking up significant wages that could be better directed elsewhere? Weimann seems really happy here but would Williams sign a new deal? Any other players posters think are at risk of losing their place or being phased out similar to the likes of Klose and Martin?
