I think he just likes to go with the tried and tested he has worked and done well with even if they aren’t playing . But also time for others to get a run out too ?

England back in action today against New Zealand in the first T20. Will we see a strong side or a few fringe /new players getting their chance?

Didn't we have all this in 2007? - even starting badly and then reached the final. Of course in France. Does seem to be down to the luck of the draw. Swear Ireland play New Zealand in the last 8 all the time! Not saying that will happen this time but we do seem to perk up a bit for the tournament. 2015 apart.

Well Sky reckon they are on the up but that is probably because the sport goes across the world to many places now and there will always be die hards in the traditional countries like Britain. Suppose Dutch fans for example will say it's no different to when Hamilton dominated but then he had a competitive team mate and Ferrari posed a challenge at times. As I say everyone else seems so inconsistent. One race they are are fine and on form - the next something goes wrong.

Well behind him it’s certainly very close and competitive but results are rather inconsistent which is why Verstappen dominates so much . He doesn’t make any errors and nor do Red Bull

They’d probably waste it after 2 goes ! Trouble is so many decisions are subjective so not clear cut but agree there have been some shockers . TBF Liverpool got the worse decision against them but agree penalty wasn’t one . It was Liverpool fan and ex player Danny Murphy who called the dive brave .

Shame . Just didn’t get going . Spain dominated generally then played out time pretty well till the end . Ref wasn’t the best but cannot blame her .

They are always comparing the two. And no Wiegman won’t be the next Mens manager but might have some sort of FA role - she is a very well qualified coach I think . I think people respect Southgate but aren’t totally at ease with some of his tactics and selections . Also is seen as a bit dour and dull but then he is there to manage - not crack a few joked and be mates with the media.

And the commentary team thought the first guy shooting had scored too ! Yes VAR might have ruled it out (never know what that is doing go to do !) but people cannot both ways really . Either we want it in for decisions like that and the penalty incident ( again the pundits seemed to change their mind after watching the replays) or we don’t want it as the thing ruins the game etc . Seen many saying they’d rather have iffy on field decisions than VAR now.

Same happened yesterday at Brentford v Spurs so obviously goalies will be allowed to do what they like . Whereas last season Man C got a penalty at Arsenal for a similar sort of incident.

I wondered if they had extra interviews last night as 3 games are being played today so felt there was more time to do more ? Once the first half an hour went by it flowed more . Unfortunately they cannot please everyone with the amount of highlights per game . Trouble is the adverts breaks don’t help but obviously have to be done. Suppose if they didn’t have the interview then there would be the usual bland cliches punditry instead .

Hopefully is maintained particularly with the big name players and teams in all leagues. Sheffield Wednesday will hope this struggle is just a fact they are playing a top side with very limited strength in their squad than the start of the norm .

A few of our lot at Watford could do with learning something from this!. One thing to give constructive criticism about a players performance but another to personally targeted them
