  1. I did say in all likelihood, rather than definitely. The hierarchy clearly felt it was likely too.
  2. Firstly, this isn't a reflection on Manning or anything regarding him. It's been 13 days and two games against the bottom two. Today was probably the worst performance of the season and last week wasn't great against ten men. If the Lansdown's believe this side is capable of promotion then based on the last two games it's because of the work Pearson was doing. Pearson has these players performing above their ability on the evidence of the last two weeks. Robins TV commentator at one point said today that both sides showed why a change in manager was needed, for us at least it proved the exact opposite. The last thing Tinnion and the Lansdown's wanted was Pearson winning two games against the bottom two, it was why they acted when they did. Well they got their wish, only four points when it would have been six in all likelihood with NP. It'll be interesting how Manning can build on what Pearson has done but evidently the side were well behind Pearson and fighting for him - potentially to the maximum of their abilities.
  3. Robins TV said both sides showing why they had to change their managers?!
  4. It's almost like it won't last forever and when it doesn't it'll be the exact opposite for 9 games.
  5. Tinnion needs to get TGH on and realise maybe Pearson was right on Mehmeti
  6. I think my point was it's more luck than judgement really in these appointments. Two only out of god knows how many have paid off. But to your point yes definitely, except McWinless. He had taken St Johnstone to the top league and did well there with them.
  7. But then I also didn't want Lee Johnson, Dean Holden, McWinless or Brian Tinnion. Edit - Or Millen, too many shite managers to remember these days. I did want GJ though at the time.
  8. Maybe he knows his limitations and has taken the money while he can? Would join a long list of City appointments to have done the same.
  9. Well it's either the new boss or Tinnion and JL go in that case. I guess if Manning is top 10 at the end of the season he stays and those two go. However anything lower and Manning will be ditched by the other two. Lot of heads on the block given all the public speaking.
  10. Underwhelmed yet also not surprised, called an inexperienced L1 appointment. Welcome the Lansdowns new yes man messiah
  11. Nothing screams promotion to the Premier League like a Championship novice. He might turn out to be good, who knows, unlikely under this board - but it's not the appointment the board have been suggesting as impressive, or whatever their words were
  12. I can't believe so many don't (or rather don't want to) believe that Tins isn't completely on board with this tbh
  13. Imagine the likes of Rowett, Eustace, Smith et al all sitting their nodding in agreement with Tins thoughts on managing a football club. The videos are damaging to their recruitment campaign but they're all too thick to realise this.
  14. I would say it's far more likely he follows the same thinking as the Lansdowns. That's why he got the role of manager when he absolutely shouldn't have. Was welcomed back once the dust settled and has been promoted again and again ever since. He's part of the problem I'm afraid.
  15. **** off Tins. Good footballer, damaging the club with his impact again outside of playing. Looks as nervous as JL as well. They all know they're in trouble now.
  16. So once again we have a few morons who are openly telling us that their brief to the newly appointed, and qualified, professional football manager is telling him how to do his job. I include Tinnion in that. He has no idea how to manage a football team. We've seen that with our own eyes. Dogshit vid.
  17. They are all Frank and Karl - without the past successful careers that got them to the position
  18. Firstly let me start by saying it's not exactly ideal that people have finally awoken to the shit show the Lansdown has provided over the past 20 years. A small pocket of us were hounded on here back during the start of Bristol Sport and through the LJ streak for daring to question the almighty leader and his dumb son, accused of being Gas etc. because we could see that this club, as far as SL was concerned, was his - not ours. He literally told us it was his and his only and people accepted that. This isn't a go, but the 'careful what you wish for' brigade have now found out. It sucks but to some of us this isn't news. So what can we expect now looking at the history of the dictator. None of this should come as a surprise when it happens btw: Manager - Yes man absolutely. When SL finally gets told in no uncertain terms that he hasn't a clue about football (which is correct) he immediately bounces to someone who won't tell him. I get we all love Tinnion for his playing days, but he's in his role because SL knows he'll dance to his tune - it's the only reason why anyone in the club is promoted or kept in place - that's the sole essential criteria for this family. Tinnion will be told who to appoint and he will follow that brief without using any of his own senses. Expect us to chase someone like Robins, him to hear the ideas of the owners and to reject the offer within a few hours of hearing this. There will be panic, Robins is all of sudden clueless, and a young manager who will consider themselves very lucky, to be appointed. Squad - Injuries, injuries, injuries. There's only one way to combat that. SL will consider the fault to be in the squad numbers and that will lead to a new manager being bolstered by numerous free agents. The squad will bloat. The wage costs will explode. This will ultimately cause unrest in the squad and as we start to fall towards inevitable relegation we will sack the manager and new austerity will be implemented and the cycle will continue as it always has. I would expect a similar scenario to the McInnes years tbh. This is just another part of the boom-bust cycle of SL's ownership. It's not surprising and it will continue for as long as this clueless family are lording it over us and the club. Change IS/WAS needed. But it's not football management. It's ownership that's required to be changed and ASAP. Nothing will ever be achieved under Lansdown. History proves this. The next stage is set to be an increasingly frustrating one for all of us as fans. Previous mistakes are never learned from. These egotistical, and ultimately incredibly stupid in football terms, people need to go now. The bloke named a stand after himself ffs.
