I should have said I wasn’t specifically commenting on that situation, it was more of a general point about swearing inside the ground .

I think the point the poster was making is that the players and the coaching staff swear during the games which seems double standards if the authorities are clamping down on fans swearing.

Pearson leaves , Tinnion steps in as caretaker, a couple of decent results ( the players say they want the caretaker as permanent manager, players all say the same guff) and then before we know it he’s be given a two year deal.

Really interesting discussion between Jason Lee and David Baddiel on the infamous (and quite frankly racist) sketches from Fantasy Football League back in the 90's.  Anyone around at the time will no doubt remember the abuse Jason Lee got on the programme because of his dreadlocks, the subsequent chants about his hair, which from memory impacted his form and he dropped down the leagues.  

When you look back on the sketches now with Baddiel having a black face etc its quite surprising it was ever allowed on TV at all, even in the 90's, but there was definitely a culture at that time of everything being ok as long as you said it was banter.  I used to watch the show a lot as a teenager and didn't really think about it at the time, but looking back most of the jokes seemed to be ripping anyone in football who was deemed ugly or weird by Skinner and Baddiel.

David Baddiel is doing a new doc on anti semitism so I guess he needed to address the uncomfortable truth regarding Jason Lee as part of this, shame it took him all this time to actually apologies!

It wasn’t racist what happen to Jason Lee but it wasn’t right.  He was targeted and lampoon because he wasn’t very good and he had a funny hair cut .  If Jason was a better player it wouldn’t been such of an issue.

When you see the abuse and micky take that Harry Maguire gets it crosses the line for me, but let’s say that level of criticism was directed at a black player it would be conceived as racist is some quarters. Not everything in life is down to race and colour.

Beanie was an absolute gentlemen .  Great company on away days watching City and England . 

Why are gas heads over  obsessed with new signings . They never spend any money on anyone and yet every year they think Weal is going to splash the cash and bring in lots of top signings , is there a more deluded fan base in the country they are all bonkers.

I listened to the match on Talksport 2 , the atmospheric sounded great . It really came across on the radio.

This may be sour grapes but Scunthorpe are  an absolute disgrace.  Basically put out a youth team . Where is their professional pride , where is their integrity .  Pathetic performance, not just letting themselves down and their club but also bringing the game into disrepute. This was not a great day for the gas but a shameful day for football .

Why do fans of this club can’t wait to sale our past young . Here a thought maybe just maybe we try to hold on to our best players and build a team which is capable of challenging for promotion.

We have always been a selling club and this is why a club of our size has never played in the Premier League.

They is only one time in our history we held on this our best players and that was in the early and mid 70s.

I’m putting my tin hat on so don’t shoot the messenger, I have heard the Lee Johnson and Jamie McAlister are in discussion about a return to the club . 
I’m slightly disbelieving  this myself but the person who told me is genuine and there is a connection to them.
