  1. Just been reading the gaschat forum to see what’s being said about the Weal claim of trying to build a stadium on the fruit market site.

They are completely deluded and delusional, how long will before they start having a campaign to boycott the Sunday morning market because they blame the owners of the market that they don’t have a super doper stadium to call their own.

What we know according to the regional director of Total Produce speaking on Radios Bristol, who is one of the owners the market, is that the site is not for sale but if someone makes an offer they couldn’t refuse they would consider it. He did go on to say they are very happy with their home .  Now apparently on sagchat he is  “only the regional director “ and therefore he haven’t been told the site is being sold off, or he is not telling the truth.  Seriously these gas head have really lost the plot.

An offer was made on the site  by an unnamed buyer and was turned down a few months ago.

The Fruit market holds a cards , they have a very valuable piece of land but also the location fits in with their business. I see many gas heads are saying it’s a win for the fruit market for to relocate to an out of town location again this shows but this is not strictly true.  The fruit market is an wholesale business which means all the independent restaurants and fruit and veg shops in Bristol will go to the market everyday to purchase their fresh produce so the site in an convenient location for most of their customers and fact which most of the gasheads are unable to comprehend.

This story is really a non starter.  We have one of the most valuable pieces of real estate in Bristol with an owners who have no need to sale . Also the cost of the build and the infrastructure required puts this scheme in fantasy land.

The gas are really the gift that keeps on giving if they believe that this stadium will every see the light of day.

Here’s the report from the Shropshire Star ...

Shrewsbury Town vehicle taking Greg Docherty to hospital allegedly hit by objects whilst departing Memorial Stadium

By Lewis Cox | Shrewsbury Town FC | Published: 4 hours ago | Last Updated: 3 hours ago

Boss Sam Ricketts revealed his disappointment after a Shrewsbury Town vehicle taking Greg Docherty to hospital was allegedly pelted with missiles at Bristol Rovers.

The car taking Greg Docherty to hospital was the target of thrown objects (AMA)

Town substitute Docherty was on the field less than half hour before he had to be taken off after complaining off blurred vision.

He had taken a ball to the face in the Rovers box during the ill-fated 1-1 draw at the Memorial Stadium.

But, while leaving the stadium during the final stages of the match in a marked Town vehicle, the car was allegedly hit by several objects.

"Doch had some bleeding in his eye, he wanted to carry on. But as it went on he started to struggle with vision," said Ricketts.

"Doch's left early to go to the eye hospital. I'm a bit disappointed with how the vehicle was treated taking him with objects thrown when they're trying to leave the ground and get to hospital.

"That's disappointing. Hopefully he'll be OK."

That was one of the incidents that left Ricketts unhappy after his side were pegged back to draw 1-1.

The Town boss feels Graham Coughlan's hosts should have found themselves down to 10 men for Abu Ogogo's kick out on Ollie Norburn early on. He feels Norburn should never have been shown his first yellow - as the Town man survived a Gas appeal for a second yellow.

And Ricketts strongly believed the late red card to sub Dave Edwards was 'unjust' as the midfielder was 'caught in the heat of the moment' by inexperienced League One referee Peter Wright.

Why is this not leading the Radio Bristol headlines or top story on the Bristol post website, I’m 100% certain if it was City fans it would be.

Its one rule for those deluded , victim playing scumbags and one rule for us.

  4. My prediction is Graham Coughlan will be given the job after there going on this little run.

Weal and  Hammer will be making all the right noises about how the club is moving forward and it was all DC fault, the gullible gas will lap this all up on the back of a mine revival .

After  Coughlan takes charge in a permanent capacity Rovers form will plummet, Weal and Hammer will go to ground and ultimately the gas will go down.

  5. After reading some comments on here who have sympathy for the gas , and that we are all football fans wanting the best for football in Bristol and the West Country.

I would like to make my position clear and unequivocal,  I want them to go bust and out of business and Bristol Rovers never to return . I have no shrewd of empathy, sympathy or humanity for them.

The statement was posted yesterday and buses weren't running.

It's more of a safety thing when local authorities etc are advising not to travel.

Even more of a ridiculous statement then. Requesting MK to cancel their home match because the local bus service in Bristol is not operating the day before the game.

  8. I see the blue few are in melt down because their game at MK Dons is ON.

Their supporters club have issued a statement saying that the all of Bristol is in lock down and no buses and trains are running,  lie after lie .  Trains and buses are running in Bristol.

More sh!te from the Post. Where was this survey carried out? Albert Road!

It is no surprise that Bristol has a lot to offer in the looks department, so we had a hard time narrowing it down to just 50 people.

But here they are, the lucky ones who made the cut - from 50 right down to number one - it is Bristol's official sexy list.

    50. Darrell Clarke

The Bristol Rovers boss is not outshined by his players on the pitch. The former professional footballer played for a number of teams, including Mansfield Town FC, Hartlepool United FC and Salisbury Town FC, before entering the dugout.

Who put him at 50 , was it our canine friends.

  10. Hahahahaha the sh** lost.

    Going up are they? Hahahahaha

That has made my year. UTFG FTS!

Some Man Utd medicine rammed back down their throats.

    Watch the bubble burst now....

Watch their away support drop now too.

    Hahahahahaha

Better cancel their obsessed with Rovers thread now.

The above is taken from the chatshite website.

Stuff like this gives me a warm feeling inside knowing how much they are hurting right now.

Love how dopey asked his players if there was an issue with him personally as he “wouldn’t want to outstay his welcome” then a few seconds later saying if anyone did have an issue he’d get rid of them in January!

I listen to that, what a bizarre thing to say.

  12. What you did before the game pub/chippy etc, and were the home fans friendly?

Outside the ground, a steward asked us how many fans we were bringing. I think because he was surprised to see how many supporters had already entered with an hour to go to kick off. I had a pint inside the ground, which cost £4 for a Carlsberg.

The above is taken from a review of Craven Cottage from another deluded sag head. They just can't help themselves can they.

WTF is that? Some boozer is missing a smoking shelter tonight!

Most pubs smoking shelters are a lot better than this. This is truly embarrassing for the gas.

Calling them tinpot doesn't even come close to what they are.

I remember a few years back a game being cancelled last minute due to freezing rain.  I slithered and slid all the way to the ground and was walking from the car to find everyone walking the other way.  So had to slither and slide home again.  Very dangerous, that was.

That was against the gas in 1995.

The last postponement at Ashton Gate was on Boxing Day a couple of seasons age when we were due to play Peterborough.  They was a massive down pour prior to kick -off and the game was cancelled minutes before it was due to start.

Don't hold your breath - Mr West is playing a game which will all come plain in due course.
He never wanted us there and his 'mates' are in the wings.
In due course we will all learn how devious they are at UWE

Exactly what is bugging me. If correct who are the mates and what is the UWE masterplan?  The only team that can fill a barn that big around here is Bath Rugby who have made no secret of the limitations of the Rec but would they really leave Bath?

Move the thinking away from one big stadium. How about a 'complex' involving a small stadium for Women's football, and an Indoor Arena that would house Basketball, table tennis and Badminton, and that can also be used as a 'Bristol Arena' for music. Who are the mates? Well, a certain Rosy Cheeked Fecker was given an Honorary Doctorate (or something) for the financial advice he has given to the UWE, plus the UWE have recently started using the conference facilities at trashton. It's just a small step to put 2 and 2 together.

How paranoid are the gas, their conspiracy theory's about UWE make the twin towers and Princess Di conspiracy look like convincing scenarios.

They really are frankly pathetic idiots.

If in August 2018 they were above City after the first game of the season, that's 386 days away, so worst case scenario, 6,486 is the minimum number of days they will be behind City.

What IF we are relegated and they go up, surely that is the worst case scenario.

Not quite correct, they played mostly in black and white stripes from the early 1900s until the First World War. Then they had a Spurs style kit for 8 years (white shirts, dark blue shorts) then an Everton home-style kit before adopting the quarters in 1931.

What is also interesting is that they ditched their "world famous" quarters from 1962 to 1973 - instead playing in kits more akin to Sheffield Weds (home) and Everton (home) again.

In summary, a history of pretty shite kits....

It's even worse how many kit , colours did they play in.

The fact that they changed their kit to blue and white quarters just to get notice is a bit sad.

  18. They go on about their stupid f-ing  kit all the time.

But what they fails to point out is that they only changed to blue and white quarters in the 1930s after playing in black with a yellow stripe for 50 years , they changed stripe in the 1930s because they wanted to get notice by others and step out of our shadow, this is not a wind up but fact.

Bristol City have always played in red we have never sold out for a cheap publicity stunt, let's start reminding the gas WHY they play in blue and white quarters.
