  1. Wilson’s fault. He was always a conference manager
  2. World doesn’t revolve around Robbored shocker.
  3. I’m not sure I understand the wording for the 1st question. Is it which ex City player scored his first goal at Ashton Gate while technically not being a home or away team? Would suggest a neutral venue so maybe an u21 or younger international game? What ex youth internationals have we signed? Tammy maybe?
  4. I'm sorry but if Scott stays he is winning the Balon D'Or.
  5. In terms of musical royalty I may trump you all… I saw B*Witched’s first ever performance in England. They came to my primary school and did a few songs as a warm up before their first show in London. I was 9 or 10, never been to a ‘gig’ before, didn’t know what to do, so I ran to the front and started crying.
  6. Just had to read up why 88 is banned. I doubt the FA will, it’s not as much of an issue over here compared to Italy.
  7. I’m amazed at how many experts on football transfers and how they work we have on here!
  8. I must be an outlier because I really don’t care who wins the race, I just like to see some interesting battles between drivers and teams throughout a race or the season. This year I have found interesting with Aston Martin, Ferrari, Mercedes generally battling it out for places 2-8 with some random Haas or Alpine doing well on a suited track and now Mclarens update seemingly doing great for the last two tracks and will it continue. Skys coverage before hand with the group they have and the pieces they do with current drivers, ex drivers, teams are alway interesting, I like the dynamic of David Croft (excitable, has a few Murrayisms) and Martin Brundle. Ted’s notebook is well worth a watch just to see some behind the scenes stuff after the race.
  9. I think if we get Knight AND keep Scott we’ll see some more rotation with the central midfield meaning we won’t need to flog James (whose a year older), Williams (with his crisp packet hamstrings) and Naismith who may be required to fill in at CB every so often. Looks like some Derby fans saying Knight can play behind the front 3 I.e where Scott plays so also gives him a rest/replacement.
  10. Well that’s the biggest over reaction I’ve seen on here for a while!
  11. Yeah you are right, I guess the running drill is all about fitness and just running back and forth at a constant speed for a long period which would be less stressful on his knees in comparison to a contact football drill where he’ll be turning and change sprint speeds more often where he has a greater chance of doing it again. At least he’s out there though!
  12. Also for that running test it looks like Wells & Andi + a couple of younger kids were the best so he’s obviously still very fit for one of our older players. Andi you’d expect to be at the top of any long running stats. As he seemed to be taking part in that running test I’d guess he’s not too far away.
  13. Best bit is later on he picks out the ‘big game down the Mem where it’s likely to be rocking’ for them to attend as… Port Vale…
  14. I think there’s a lot of people who blame him for the financial situation we find ourselves in now. I personally don’t, that lays to Ashton and SL. They were the ones who sanctioned the spending. As a manager in a high pressure job of course you are going to ask to buy another player, if the above says yes, what can he do. Incidentally, the time I thought we played the best was when we were struggling for players due to injury and had to play Reid and Pato up top! Theres other who don’t like his jargon. I don’t mind it, he’s not an old school tell it like it is manager. He likes to think outside the box and try new techniques. Nothing wrong with that, but I get how it can grate for some. Others just don’t like him because he’s short.
  15. Yep, Howe gave the lad on loan at the gas plenty of game time and opportunities this year so with the extra European games and strain on the squad, it would be a good move.
  16. Sorry, I was referring to the quality of the pitch that they will cultivate for next season. As their game plan is hitting balls up to Morris and Adebayo and winning knock downs, they will make the pitch dry and bumpy to prevent teams playing a passing game. Size of the pitch won’t make much difference. Fancying going there to spank them and actually going there to spank them is a different thing!
  17. To be fair, there's no guarantee Company was there watching Massengo. There are 2 twitter links, one has 6 likes, the other 360 odd and 1 newspaper link (Bristol World so hardly reputable) Could be journalists putting 2 and 2 and getting 5. Kompany could well have been looking at a PSG player for a potential loan next year (maybe someone like Renato Sanchez)
  18. Really? I don't think many premier league teams are going to fancy going to Kennilworth Road next year on what is a pretty crap pitch, close stands and I expect the fans will whip up a ferocious atmosphere. I can see them getting. spanked a few times away from home, but I fancy them to turn over a few teams at home. At least enough to get more than 11 points.
  19. I seem to remember from an interview, Joe had a flat actually in Fulham. Fulham > Luton is not an easy commute! I actually think on a weekday rush hour, Bristol > Luton could be quicker...
  20. Does it take into account how much he is betting on? Like is he betting 10p that Brentford lose? Or £10k?
  21. What a nasty bunch of knobheads the Uruguayans are. Glad to see Scott made their mouthy no.5 cry at the end of the half.
  22. I do feel better now I agree about Gallagher but I think Maddison is the sort of player who plays better with better players around him. Ive watched quite a few Leicester games this season and his general ball skills (oo err) is as good as anyone but playing in an under performing (relegation threatened) team means his output hasn’t been as high as it should be. If MGW is captain of the under 21s, leave him there to play that rather than be on the bench for these two games. That may happen to Maddison anyway!
  23. So you would put in Pope (who is having surgery) and Morgan Gibbs White (who is in the u21 squad)?
  24. grifty

    Phil Jones

It’s a shame because he comes across as a nice guy in interviews I’ve seen him in. He turned down a testimonial at Man U because he didn’t think anyone would show up. He may need to move abroad as I feel he’s become a bit of a joke here.
  25. Peterborough goalie got a smack too.
