  1. Because you are trying to explain your opinion that Pearson is not doing good enough, which is currently a valid discussion point. Your point was partly based on how many goals we have scored and conceded in a 6 game period whereby you got both numbers wrong, conveniently in a way which made them both worse than they actually are. Perhaps if you had taken the very few seconds it would have taken to add up the 12 numbers to get the correct figures, you may have had more people be more amicable to your opinion. Instead, you've got very defensive in a number of posts where people have questioned your opinion (which they are allowed on a forum).
  2. So you made up the numbers... Actually, I did what you did, but just the other way. So you just confirmed your original post is a "piss poor attempt at deflection".
  3. To be fair, making up wrong numbers about a league table is a bit weird. Because in the last 6 games we've actually scored 11ish goals, only conceded 10ish and are 9th ish in the league so what's wrong?
  4. I’m not quite sure what the club can do about the distance between the pitch and advertising hoardings? Short of moving all 4 stands back 10 meters? Twerton Park was built in 1909, I doubt this is the first time domes hurt themselves coming off the side of the pitch, maybe it is to the seriousness this lad has, but I don’t think the answer is rebuild every stadium.
  5. I voted for Eidevall cos I’ve never heard of him.
  6. I finish work at 5.15 and if I leave for Ashton Gate and get no traffic at all, I’ll get there at 8pm, not including walking once parked and getting a ticket which you can get up until 7.30. So that’ll be why I’m not going
  7. Papers arrived Fawlty? No, not yet Major
  8. So a guy I work with is a former professional league referee who has actually been a linesman for yesterdays ref on a few occasions. I showed him the two tackles. He said the ref (whose name I've forgotten) does not want the linesman to give their opinion ('I think') on if it's offside or a foul, etc in the mics. He will make the decision himself. He said you can see this at the end during the scuffle after the Tanner red that the linesman closest to it didn't get involved or come close, because the ref would have instructed them to keep out of it. He said that ref is the definition of "making the match all about him" hence his big muscles and awful hand tattoo. For the two tackles, while we didn't see a close up video of Tanners, he did not think it was a red, but can see why it was given and Norwoods was 100% a red but the ref has obviously missed it but again he has told the linesman to not get involved so even if the linesman had seen it, he wouldn't have acted.
  9. Linesman would have still flagged him offside like he did from the long ball from Max when Wells was at least 10 yards onside!
  10. It would all depend on what swearing you've been doing. Are you joining in with "the referee's a w*nker" or are you shouting and swearing on your own. From your initial post and subsequent attitude to @W-S-M Seagull, I will presume its the second one.
  11. I think in fairness to Scott for the first dribble, it would have been quite difficult to pull the ball back as far to AW on the penalty spot for a shot due to the angle he was running. NW was in and around the 6 yard box but marked. Scott went to trick the goalie at the near post and because he’s hit it waist high, the goalie has been able to react. His 2nd run, when he got to the edge of the area and shot, the only person to his left open was Jay Dasilva. Scott would be better off lumping it all the way back to Max instead of setting up Jay for a shot, so I don’t blame him for shooting there either. I felt last night Scott actually felt let down by some of his team mates and thought he’s going to have to do this himself. Really felt like a player taking the game by the scruff of the neck. Not seen anyone do that for us for years. The set pieces, I think we recognised we had no real aerial threat so tried short corners, which is a good idea if we had a plan for them, which we didn’t. All we did was play it short and then lump it in anyway, or it was blocked. I think we should just let Scott stay on them but instruct him everytime just to whip it in at the 6 yard box. The more he takes, the better he will get. There will be some that he’ll get wrong, but it’s all about learning and improving.
  12. That was easily the worst refereeing/officals performance I think I've ever seen. How Norwoods knee high challenge studs first into Williams knee was not even noticed. Sheff Utd were the worst team apart from us I've seen in at least 3 seasons. How they won that game and are anywhere near the top of of the league is scandalous. I will enjoy watching them not make anything of this season.
  13. Oi, I am currently in 2098 on Football Manager 21 and am fresh off of a 46th consecutive Premier League title with the City and I have plenty of patience for Pearson ?
  14. Exactly, we don’t call Spain Espana or Germany Deutschland. Just as we are not England in these other countries.
  15. And at RCB! After 40 seconds he was at the byline putting in a cross.
  16. Surely it's a free kick to us then because he obstructed Scott without any intention of playing the ball.
  17. Both, you know we'll sign an amazing wing back and then magically change our formation to 4 at the back. On a more serious note, we have Jay on the left who is very tidy on the ball, quite good defending one-on-one I think, but 5'2" and can't cross for toffee and Pring, who is athletic, powerful, determined but is very naive IMO on the ball. On the right, Sykes who is being played out of position and I think defensively is quite good, aggressive, good engine, but another whose final ball is poor which is worrying if he's supposed to be more of an attack minded midfielder, Tanner who to me seems more of an old school full back than a wing back or RCB and Wilson who I'm guessing has had some fitness/getting used to training and match speed issues. In an ideal world, we'd have Pring and Wilson for what attributes I think they could bring and once Wilson is fit again, would love to see this. They directness and ability in the final third of both could cover for what they make lack in defensive attributes.
  18. So you want to play Pring at right back, Vyner at left back, no right winger and "Seymenyo" (whoever that is) somewhere around Row M? I would have to agree with the clueless bit.
  19. Having lived in the centre of Manchester for 3 years, I can assure you on a home match day, every pub and bar is full of United fans. If Man City are at home, it was a ghost town.
  20. I think Pickfords reaction is the biggest indicator. After the contact is made he just lies on the pitch trying to disappear. After the penalty is scored, he is holding his hands up apologising to team mates, fans, etc. If Kane had dived, Pickford would have been all over the ref arguing his case.
  21. When we have Wells and Conway up front, we keep the ball on the floor, build up play and attack using the space down the sides. As soon as Semenyo plays, we've starting hoofing the ball up to him. If played the same way, we'd be doing fine, but our players just do not have the football intelligence to not hoof it to a physical presence up front. They do the same with Martin.
