  1. As if! If he slightly miss-kicks a clearance you can imagine the uproar!
  2. If Bentley is poor at coming for crosses and dominating the area, we need to ensure the defenders in front of him can do that for him. We need tall aggressive defenders who will put their heads where it hurts, block crosses, and leave Bents to his positives of shot stopping and one on one’s. We play Andy King at centre back. A 5’ 10” attacking midfielder. If @Logical-City truly believes DB is the cause of our defensive issues then they does not understand football.
  3. I’m a Bengals fan so after having a shocking start they pulled it back over the last two games. Prevented Burrows getting sacked as much which was a nice change!
  4. Thats been blown way out of proportion. If you look at the League celebrations there are many pictures and videos of the staff member involved in the celebrations including being sat on Grealish's shoulders. I've seen Scott Murray stand with both his arms out wide as players take of a training vest and sling it on his arm but towards the end they started chucking it on his head. Did I take that as rich players making fun of of a kitman, or players having a laugh with a friend/colleague. Maybe, just maybe, Harland has only known the bloke a month or so, so didn't feel it appropriate to join in that 'joke'.
  5. If you want a comparison to another club at our level, listen to the Swansea commentary of their recent game v Watford. The main commentator seemed to forget he was commentating and didn't really talk about what was happening, the co-commentator must have thought he was in the stands watching it as all he did was shout "YESSSSS". Not to mention it's in strong Welsh accents making it even harder to understand what they were on about anyway.
  6. Every cross seemed to be a bit aimless, curling away from the goal and slightly behind where the attackers were. The one time we cut inside and 'crossed' the ball from Williams, Conway got a glancing header and Wells could have diverted it in. We needed to get to the byline and drill the ball across at shin height for our good finishers and their big centre backs to slice it in.
  7. I'm not normally that critical of RobinsTV but it's not just the lead commentator. The co-commentator, whether it's Tinman, Hines, etc are always crazily biased.
  8. Still on FM21 and just won my 41st straight Premier League title with City.
  9. Wasn't the Nations League designed so those friendlies against lower standard of opposition don't really occur anymore, so we've just had two 'warm-up' games against teams of equal standard to us and what will be a higher standard of the three teams in our group.
  10. I heard Southgate being interviewed and he said Chilwell hadn't played a full 90 mins in 8 months.
  11. I can't remember the exact phrasing he used, but after his loss to us, he had an extremely odd interview where he kept repeating the same phrase over and over.
  12. I thought it was going to be given as a foul, but I’d like to think the ref saw a small tug on the shoulder and then Aarons holding his face rolling around like a little bitch and thought he didn’t deserve a free kick for it.
  13. Naismith its playing well and his performances are good! Just his little brain farts that causes goals that aren't.
  14. How can he get bullied in league football if he plays a cup game?
  15. It's the EFL/Premier League to blame for any postponement. Royal Family/Goverment said sport can go ahead, it's up to the governing bodies.
  16. Good, because Antonine had a bit of a stinker when he came on so hopefully thats the end of their interest!
  17. Today was the first time in a while I saw him offer himself for passes off the defenders for most of the match. It seemed like he had much more confidence.
  18. I like that fact that Conway seems to be an all rounder. He's good with the ball into his feet, or he can come short and lay the ball off, or turn and run at the defence. He's pretty quick, disciplined, will chase, will get stuck in, is apparently the best finisher at the club (looks very natural to me) and despite not being physically imposing, has scored a few headers.
  19. Ah fair enough, I read it as 'taken the lead'. I apologise @cityexile
  20. While the Shrewsbury one was first, the gas one is better.
  21. He’s probably older than the rest of the centre backs combined.
