I think if we get Knight AND keep Scott we’ll see some more rotation with the central midfield meaning we won’t need to flog James (whose a year older), Williams (with his crisp packet hamstrings) and Naismith who may be required to fill in at CB every so often. Looks like some Derby fans saying Knight can play behind the front 3 I.e where Scott plays so also gives him a rest/replacement.

Yeah you are right, I guess the running drill is all about fitness and just running back and forth at a constant speed for a long period which would be less stressful on his knees in comparison to a contact football drill where he’ll be turning and change sprint speeds more often where he has a greater chance of doing it again. At least he’s out there though!

Also for that running test it looks like Wells & Andi + a couple of younger kids were the best so he’s obviously still very fit for one of our older players. Andi you’d expect to be at the top of any long running stats. As he seemed to be taking part in that running test I’d guess he’s not too far away.

Best bit is later on he picks out the ‘big game down the Mem where it’s likely to be rocking’ for them to attend as… Port Vale…

I think there’s a lot of people who blame him for the financial situation we find ourselves in now. I personally don’t, that lays to Ashton and SL. They were the ones who sanctioned the spending. As a manager in a high pressure job of course you are going to ask to buy another player, if the above says yes, what can he do. Incidentally, the time I thought we played the best was when we were struggling for players due to injury and had to play Reid and Pato up top! Theres other who don’t like his jargon. Sorry, I was referring to the quality of the pitch that they will cultivate for next season. As their game plan is hitting balls up to Morris and Adebayo and winning knock downs, they will make the pitch dry and bumpy to prevent teams playing a passing game. Size of the pitch won’t make much difference. Fancying going there to spank them and actually going there to spank them is a different thing!

I don't think many premier league teams are going to fancy going to Kennilworth Road next year on what is a pretty crap pitch, close stands and I expect the fans will whip up a ferocious atmosphere. I do feel better now I agree about Gallagher but I think Maddison is the sort of player who plays better with better players around him. Ive watched quite a few Leicester games this season and his general ball skills (oo err) is as good as anyone but playing in an under performing (relegation threatened) team means his output hasn’t been as high as it should be. If MGW is captain of the under 21s, leave him there to play that rather than be on the bench for these two games. That may happen to Maddison anyway!

It’s a shame because he comes across as a nice guy in interviews I’ve seen him in. He turned down a testimonial at Man U because he didn’t think anyone would show up. He may need to move abroad as I feel he’s become a bit of a joke here.

Me and my missus were on the way home from the cinema late one night and we parked up on a street and we’re sat in the car for a few minutes, out of the corner of my eye I see a guy leaving a park naked but holding a coat in front of his bits. We watch him walk down a couple of houses and then stand in front of the window exposing himself to those inside. We heard quite a few screams and saw him run off back down to the park. About 5 minutes later he sneaks back round and looks to do the same thing but as he gets to the driveway 3 or 4 young girls (probably 11 or 12) come running out and throwing stones at him. Now we realise he’s exposing himself to underage teens I jump out the car to chase him but he spotted me earlier than I thought he would and gets into the park and I couldn’t see where he went. The girls found it funny, and at the time when we first saw him we did laugh, but in hindsight I wish I’d caught him for the police to deal with. God knows what he could be capable of.

I think Zak has taken some time to look at his strengths and weaknesses and adapt his game to these. He’s not a physical, arial dominant defender and I think a lot of his errors in the past have been from him trying out muscle someone stronger or try to beat someone in the air he won’t. Ive seen a lot more of him using his footballing brain to anticipate passes and nip in front of the attacker, using his body to lean into attackers to allow them to win the header but not direct it to where they want and direct players running with the ball at him towards the corner where his pace can be a bigger factor in winning the ball back.

I went for Bobby. From starting the season as a player we would have been happy to sell for peanuts for banging in 20 and being the catalyst for the press and a style of play we were beginning to be known for. Those 15 odd games ending in the Wolves game it felt like we were unbeatable. That first season from Elliott though is still the best individual season from a player I’ve seen. Every game he was the fastest, strongest, everywhere on the pitch, making tackles, arriving late in the box, pushing someone over. He was great! Imagine a prime Marv alongside Scott and James in the current team!
