Yeah forgot about him!! Impossible to get 12 into 11 but then someone’s always going to be unavailable. With 3-4-2-1 it does mean Sykes can play wing back or cover in the 2 behind Conway
Also have Mehmetti & Bell to come off the bench along with Sykes. Like you said, you can’t fit them all in the team.

Why are we playing in black. We’ve won 3in a row playing red and white. Why change?
Birmingham playing in white shorts.

Indeed, but he is German.
Kid suggested a German connection, and my assumption (always assuming, of course, that Kid is correct ) was that the new incumbent has coached in Germany, but isn’t a German national.
Additionally, FH is currently employed, which would entail compensation.
He’s American, not German.

Kid is quite sure there is a German connection, without the new incumbent actually being German.
Oliver Glasner (Austrian) would be amazing, but surely out of our league,
When he left Eintracht Frankfurt, I was pretty sure he would get another job in the Bundesliga, but he has now been without a club since the end of last season.
Bo Svennson (Danish) has only very recently left Mainz, although surely he could get a better position than with us.
Additionally, someone mentioned earlier that we might need a translator for our new HC, which wouldn’t be the case here as his English is excellent.
In short, I should be delighted with either, but am extremely sceptical that we will get one of them.
Fabian Hürzeler Is the manager of St Pauli and doing a fantastic job there with them. Name has been mentioned for other jobs lately.

Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s Ryan mason . Worked as assistant (temp) caretaker manager both spurs & worked in their academy . Said he wanted to be a full time manager. Ticks all the terrible trio’s boxes
I’ve mentioned him previously. I think he ticks all the boxes.

His assistant at Brum was Keith Downing

I do hope that the new coach doesn’t mean certain players shipping out (e.g King, Williams, TGH not being signed etc).
I think the writing is on the wall for King, James and Williams to be moved on when their contracts are up. Likely to be high earners, so the club will look to move them on now they’ve not got the support of Nige.

Kevin muscatt might have applied
He would clash with the Lansdowns and BT
Surely Ryan Mason falls into this category now???

After hearing the two interviews this morning from JL & BT. I really want to see Kevin Muscat appointed as our new head coach. He won’t take no Bullsh#t from BT or JL otherwise they would get a flying headbutt. Plus from a footballing side he plays football the way we want to play.
Although being serious, I think we can scratch him off the list as he is far too outspoken.

Beale won’t be cheap having been at Rangers and is full of himself.
Manning will cost compo.
I don’t think either will be cheap all-told….but that’s only my view.
I would also include Ryan Mason in that thinking as well.

Brave move not playing Matty James
Good move, James on the bench. I heard he’s carrying a knock.

City will get Bournemouth at home in the cup now for city fans to say good bye.

So as far as we know, Nige is picking from:
O’Leary / Wiles-Richards
Tanner / Vyner / Dickie / Pring / Roberts (plus Araoye / Knight-Lebel)
James / Knight / Williams / King
Sykes / Cornick / Wells / Bell / Mehmeti
meaning if he wants to name a 20 man squad tonight, 2 more need to be added. Yeboah didn’t play in u21s, so possible he gets one slot???
I wonder how far Naismith and McCrorie are? I’m not suggesting them for tonight though.
Jed Meerholz didn’t play either, I reckon he could be the other player alongside Yeboah.

Yeah agreed, Sam Bell is next in line with Conway and Weimann injured, or Cornick in the position that Nige stated he'd been brought in for.
I think we will see Yeboah promoted to the squad. Didn’t see him in the u21s today.

We might although NP seemed to imply we had little room left in our wage budget which confused me a bit.
I know, that confused me, as he said door still open for Kalas. So surely there is scope for signings.

Just back from Dublin where I watched Bohemian last night. Great ONeill kit with 3 stripes on shoulders and arms of shirt and on shorts. Could have sworn from a distance it was Adidas looked quality looking at those around me wearing it .Guess we are not used to something different on our plates.
