Playing devils advocate, to create that type of flexibility, might we have needed a 30-35k stadium and ended up having it half full most games.
Swings and roundabouts I guess.
I'd suggest it is also financially very inefficient to build extra capacity that would only be utilised very rarely - the occasional City game, possibly rugby against Bath and maybe summer concerts. Obviously if (when!) we get promoted that may change.

I think you’ll find the singing end is expanding this the reason I moved my seat to south stand I’m looking forward to joining in
Interesting, is that a formal expansion as I must have missed that!

We'll make this a sell out even if it kills us.
Unless City suddenly manage to magic up loads of seats from somewhere else (maybe sticking some home fans in the end of the Atyeo?) from the online ticketing it looks like tickets have now virtually sold out with 3x tickets in W2, 2x tickets in W8 and 1x ticket in W9. I'm happy to share codes if required, but looks like it may be too late!

I know no one said Rovers fans were smart but was anyone listening to Radio 1 earlier? The presenters were talking about sick voices and a Rovers fan called in saying he was about to walk into his office and pull a sickie so he could go to the football today, having given his name and where he's from, saying 'I'm in the car right now practising my sick voice'..... Presenters seemed dumb struck that someone was on national radio announcing that not knowing who could be listening. What I found funny was later in the segment one of the radio presenters kept referring to the guy by his name deliberately while the other one was avoiding using it.
It really is their cup final and highlight of the year/decade/life. They were on Radio X earlier (Johnny Vaughan) mentioning the "over 5000" fans.

I'm sure it's been said on here but there's a lot to trawl through and I can't remember off hand. Does anyone remember the date the Blue Few were last ahead of us in the league standings?

Or even against Mansfield :).

Am I right in thinking Accy can afford to lose if the slags draw?
Yes. However, if the slags win Accrington also need to win.

Even if Rovers fail to gain automatic promotion today. They still have a very good chance going up through the play-offs. So wouldn't celebrate just yet, even after 90 minutes.
The playoffs are a complete lottery though.

Right.
Can someone briefly explain the dream outcome for this afternoon.
Rovers to be winning heading into time added on with Oxford and Accrington drawing. The whistle goes in Horfield and fans run on pitch. Then the news comes through that Accrington and Oxford have late winners and cue much anger from the "massed" sags - probably including blaming City fans in the Dag & Red end and much punching of horses.

.....a shambles, but with parachute payments and the ability to pay much higher wages than we can.
Sensible players might pick us over Villa, but it seems to me that most players will unfortunately look at the money before common sense.
The initial point that @Selredwas responding to however was if us and Villa paid the same amount most players would pick us which makes perfect sense. Villa are a shambles off the pitch (plus arguably on it), appear to be in a downward spiral and will probably have a large, bloated squad so players are less likely to get a game.

Says on BCFC website, no POTD!
It was a late call by the club - sales stopped 5PM. Must be pretty much a sell out anyway, were less than 200 left early afternoon!

No member of the playing staff, management or board has done a good job this season. That's the biggest problem.
A bit of an over exaggeration.

Given the location close to the lounge, perhaps they were set aside for corporate hospitality which isn't used now. Or perhaps it was set aside for the local kids football clubs - I think they sometimes sit in that area - and are now not being used?
