  1. Just back from the game, gutted. Really thought we had turned a corner last week as we played PNE off the park for much of the game. Total contrast this week. Lost most of the 50/50s and Blackpool’s goals showed how if you just do the basics well, you carve us open. Defence was awful. Only players who put a shift in for me were HNM and Joe Williams. Hope we can keep him fit he is a proper footballer. ref gave us nothing, which to be fair, was all we deserved. Fans were superb.
  2. Freezing and blowing a hoolie. I think Robins TV is the best tactic today.
  3. After a very contentious last minute penalty (which we missed, thus restoring justice) a Blackpool fan tried to kill my daughter and I in a retail park car park. We were walking back to our car in our City shirts, a car with four tangerine shirted lads accelerated hard at us, I just about managed to push my daughter out of the way, they at no time went for their brakes. Nice people. can see Blackpool from Southport, there used to be a ten minute hovercraft ride (although it wouldn’t have run today), as it is it’s an hour’s drive as you have to drive around the river ribble(like driving both sides of a letter ‘V’. setting off now. COYRs.
  4. Or tell the defenders to do good-er kicks an that.
  5. Yeah, if you get the train to Liverpool, 60% of the land on the right hand side is golf courses
  6. I live in Southport, not that far from Blackpool and regularly visit family in Bristol. You won’t do it in under 5 hours if you leave Bristol after lunch. There are miles and mile of bollards on the M6 (no workers or plant, just bollards). despite the cost I’d go M5/42/M6 Toll to avoid West Bromwich and Walsall which will be a car park.
  7. To help you out. A grime wrapper is something (usually and old newspaper) that you use to encase something oily or greasy so you don’t get it all over your hands.
  8. Amazing really. Of course a appalling result yesterday but playoffs still very doable I would have thought.
  9. Just saw that extraordinary really, playoffs still very doable.
  10. I agree. I was just explaining the poster’s comment. BTW, as I type this, a tweet came up saying Sunderland have sacked LJ
  11. I think his point was more to do with it being sub-judice and that a serving Police officer should know and not have started the thread. At least, I assume that’s his point
  12. Market forces. I was told I wouldn’t sell beer if it was over 4% because people think (incorrectly as it turns out) that under 4% meant you could have two and still drive. Had one beer at 3.8 and it outsold the other one (4.2%) about 6:1.
  13. Hope the Florist fans don’t destroy the toilets.
  14. It was. I had one on my student bed sit wall.
  15. Confirmation bias though isn’t it? All we see is a Penalty, all PNE fans see is no penalty, all referees see is “Ref got it right”. Fact is, you see those given in the EPL every week.
  16. After the game yesterday, I heard LJ say it was his worst moment in football. Don’t know why, but I had kind of hoped losing the 2008 playoff final might have been worse, but apparently not.
  17. Don’t know what Collins has been eating, but it’s turned the other guy’s hand blue ?
  18. Yeah, I agree, had a great view of the other one, deffo no penalty. The tackle on Pring was a fk all day long, the guy did play the ball but it was a tackle from behind. Had a great view of both incidents.
  19. Didn’t get it right though because he gave PNE a free kick. Either pen or nothing at all surely, how has Semenyo conceded a free kick there?
  20. I fear you are right and hope you are wrong.
