This, 100% ^^^ Also from the transcript of his interview in the Post: The kid definitely plays Fifa in sweat-mode and I'm here for that!

But ellipsis is a grammatical tool ?
-
Not injured, continues to be part of the first team squad, they pick the bench based on what they feel is right.

Listening to the TC interview, I am even more convinced he's gonna be a long-term success. Cut from the same cloth as his housemate when it comes to attitude and maturity.

Semenyo is not a striker they score goals
Ian M replied to Better Red's topic in All Things Ex Players and Managers
Antoine Semenyo is a product of Bristol City’s Academy Antoine Semenyo is a Championship level striker “These are just lies, brought to you by the Mainstream (social) Media” - Better Red -
To add my thoughts on the player, I've heard that he is really well thought of by both the management and the senior first team players not just because he has talent but because he is a likeable & respectful person. I hope he does well.

If he didn't sign his Academy forms at the hospital immediately after being birthed does he actually count as an Academy product?

I think his comment was "nearly 18" and Scott was a lot nearer to 18 than I am ? -
For reference, this is a 10 on the Nigel Pearson Happiness Scale

Wycombe Wanderers away Carabao Cup match day thread
Ian M replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Is it likely to be close? If yes, could that actually be mitigated by a successful season increasing attendances/matchday revenue (and to a small extent prize money/broadcast fees)? -

Remember When Some Wanted to Scrap the Academy?
Ian M replied to Port Said Red's topic in Football Chat
Sorry, where the hell does this line of having to be under 16 when they join matter? The Academy scouted and signed Scott & Semenyo. The Academy then continued their football education until such point they were ready to train with the first team. If we hadn't had an Academy, they likely wouldn't be with us. They are 100% successes of the Academy. -

To help with everyone's memories (scrap the most recent Luton game, he was replaced after being confronted by 2 angry City fans post QPR defeat in December)

Our record with him is W4 D5 L5 but our last win came in August 2017. Since then our record is W0 D3 L4.

I thought the same when I watched it and was minded of this part of NP's article on Coach's Voice: The full article can be found below if people haven't read it. https://www.coachesvoice.com/nigel-pearson-leicester-city/

Lots of "We want Glazers out" chanting so far
-
Over £800m of the football club's generated funds have so far been taken out to service the interest on the loans the Glazers took to purchase the club I believe. Old Trafford is creaking at the seams and their training ground has been left behind by a lot of Prem clubs. Add to that terrible mis-management of the football side of things and the modern focus on wealthier fans and you have the main reasons for their malcontent.

I'm gonna drag out the last 10 games table from last season (GJ's infamous blocks of 10) once again: ...now heading into this season the rate of everything is almost identical: For the last 15 games we have been the 7th best team in this division. With several young players and new players to this level that are likely to improve as the season wears on, plus the likes of Semenyo, Kalas and James to return, I have optimism that we are lined up for an exciting season.

There was a 5-10minute spell in the second half where he was making incredible tackles every single time.

Semenyo is a genuine £12-15m striker at this level. We can't exactly go out an buy one of those so let's enjoy the one we have. It's brilliant that we are doing so well without him, think how well we can do when we add that £12-15m striker to our matchday squad! My alternative take on finances if we are close to the limit on FFP.... stay around the play-off places and get increased crowds through the gate, spending increasing amounts of matchday revenue. Also helpful if we put out a side to beat Wycombe on Tuesday as each round is extra income. If we make the third round, a beatable Prem team at home please for potential TV coverage. Someone like an Everton please.
