  1. It was Ray Harford that John Ward wanted. Edit, autocorrect!
  2. It did indeed..The Robins Cafe...I first started going to AG in 1967 - age 13- and we used to call in the cafe and get a chocolate bar before the game. On non match days the players used to go in there for a cup of tea etc.
  3. Yes, a good listen from the guys, everyone prepared to give Manning a chance, as Dave said we're all fans at the end of the day.
  4. No news revealed on SOTC, the club do excell at one thing though which is preventing any news leaking out, hell even Trump leaked the plans to attack Iran and before ministers have left a cabinet meeting in No 10 they're texting journalists . Yet BCFC have kept things tighter than a ducks arse. Chapeaux!
  5. Not a bad shout - the club were crowing about " England Coaches" when we appointed Simpson and Downing - and they would regard him as "exciting" being current England u21 boss. He wouldn't be my choice btw.
  6. He posts on ziderheads every day , so yes he's ok.
  7. It's probably safe to go back in there now, 50 years... Everyone's forgotten about THAT night
  8. As others have pointed out you would think something would have leaked out from the Oxford end if this is all agreed, they'll be upset to lose him so no real incentive for anyone itk there to keep quiet. IMO.
  9. Banned for 3 months, he'll be back sometime this month
  10. Nice little boozer, free beer for Dave then
  11. David Wagner will shortly be available. Watching Norwich 0-3 down to Blackburn after only 50 minutes and the sky camera went to Delia.. haven't seen her so angry since one of her soufflés failed to rise on live TV.
  12. She could be of interest to the Birmingham City manager though.....
  13. Not we won't, but we did attract someone who'd got a team promoted into the Premier League though, in fact we've appointed three managers who's achieved that ( Wilson Coppell Pearson ) - it didn't work out with the first 2 but the ambition was there, so why should we be excited about lower league managers and coaches with no achievements on their CV. Where's the ambition, what was the point of sacking Pearson? Why not simply back him a bit more? If the board were so determined to sack him then why aren't they looking to replace him with someone better?
  14. Not for me, got a touch of Mark Ashton about him
  15. Depends how their relationship is with Tinnion,. He's the Don now. Tins office this morning
  16. Confirmed, his car was spotted in the car park
  17. Exactly mate, when we beat Man U in the cup you couldn't keep him off the radio and TV, ....Sky, Points West, TalkSport, he was on everything.
  18. Certainly well written and on point "Pearson's tenure becomes the latest chapter in a confusing saga of a club perpetually searching for its identity. They have sought out rough diamonds. They have been the big spenders. They have utilised the academy. What now?" A club perpetually searching for its identity spot on

    The Return

Yes, I'm sure they'll have had at least 100* emails, and calls from people wanting the job. No doubt SL's ego is off the scale this morning as he reads all the big names from the past crawling out of the woodwork desperate to work for him. (*Ok 95 of them are from Ian Gay )

    The Return

He seems to be in pole position, the question is why though? Over 500 games as a manager, no promotions, won nothing. His CV is worse than Lee Johnson's. All 3 of the front runners Jones, Rowett, Eustace, have a worse CV than Nige. Crazy isn't it.
