  1. Confirmed, his car was spotted in the car park
  2. Exactly mate, when we beat Man U in the cup you couldn't keep him off the radio and TV, ....Sky, Points West, TalkSport, he was on everything.
  3. Certainly well written and on point "Pearson's tenure becomes the latest chapter in a confusing saga of a club perpetually searching for its identity. They have sought out rough diamonds. They have been the big spenders. They have utilised the academy. What now?" A club perpetually searching for its identity spot on

    The Return

Yes, I'm sure they'll have had at least 100* emails, and calls from people wanting the job. No doubt SL's ego is off the scale this morning as he reads all the big names from the past crawling out of the woodwork desperate to work for him. (*Ok 95 of them are from Ian Gay )

    The Return

He seems to be in pole position, the question is why though? Over 500 games as a manager, no promotions, won nothing. His CV is worse than Lee Johnson's. All 3 of the front runners Jones, Rowett, Eustace, have a worse CV than Nige. Crazy isn't it.
  6. Why he would want to come back, Hull are in the play off positions, he's doing well there, and he did leave here under controversial circumstances over his contract renewal - or contract non renewal as it was - meaning we lost a good player for nothing.
  7. I'll take a guess now and say the most likely Lansdown/Tinnion ( that's the new order) pick will be Liam Manning. Wether he will want to leave Oxford after less than a year who knows. The new head coach role will report to Tinnion - I think that's becoming clear. I would be surprised at Rowett
  8. "Machiavellian? Triffic little player, wand of a left foot, are we in for him? ....that's up to the Chairman but he's a boy I rate!"
  9. The sacking of Wilson and SL's appointment of Tinnion. Rumoured that BT was in SL's ear lobbying for Danny to go.
  10. A good listen, agree with all the comments by the 4 of you - Dave F summed up very well the state of the club behind the scenes, the Lansdowns, communication, etc. at the end. Thanks guys.

What did he say when you told him: Sorry but you'd done your hamstring last week?
  12. Agree, because SL usually appoints someone as an opposite reaction to what he see as a failure of the last guy. So we see-saw between inexperienced and experienced managers as in Wilson to Tinnion, Tinnion to Gary Johnson, Millen to Coppell, Coppell to Millen, Millen to McInnes, The SOD/Cotterill change was credited to Dawe but then SL's back in the game with Cotterill to LJ (inexperienced when appointed) , LJ to Holden, and finally Holden to Nige. So we'll be back to a Euell or Andy King type next time.
  13. Can confirm RTV is ok now, just as well as I'm booked on the 7pm flight to Frankfurt!
  14. Me too Hopefully it'll get fixed by tonight
  15. Yes, the Welsh beer is as bad as ever.
  16. He owns a house in Bermuda and spends a lot of time there - the house has a golf course in front and the ocean behind so understandable! - but I don't think he's running any business's there. It's a holiday home essentially, I've heard (on here) Phil Alexander found it frustrating that JL was over there so much.
  17. Yes we all agree being a yo-yo club is better than where we are and will generate big money, but the conversation is about how much SL wants for the club...not what is fans would be happy with.......no one is paying north of £100 Million for a club to yo-yo between the Championship and the PL. At that price they want the potential to be a top 6 PL club (with investment) and compete in Europe and the stadium limits that ambition. Like people are saying SL needs to divide his interests up and his price down.
  18. Or the leadership skills to put it bluntly. I'm sure he's a decent chap but I'd be worried if he did take it on.
