Baffled that people would see to prefer Leeds go up than Ipswich.
I get the MA thing, but cmon... Ipswich as a club are a lot more palatable than 'super club' Leeds
Leeds are a 'super' club, well at least a pretty big club.
Small provincial town Ipswich 16k fans in midtable Champ, just think they are

Can see this ramping up over the summer on here the way the tomlin deal did… i think twine and tomlin have different characters, hopefully!!
As a fanbase we seem very fixated on signing up loan players. Maybe other fanbases are the same but as a club I do hope we are considering all options.

They score goals that no-one else

Poor from the keeper

Just another goal from a pull-back!
How haven't teams got wise to this? Surely it can't be so hard to mark the guy on the edge

I hope the link above works. A interesting reading I thought. Especially the last couple of paragraphs.
I didn't particularly like that article. For all the reasons internally that we had the lowest budget, ultimately we were relegated as the only team not affliated to a men's PL club who can afford to rack up losses on the women.
It's a very sad state of affairs that all the current men's PL teams have such an advantage over any other club in investing in a women's team, no matter the respective support base.

Just shy of 1,700 sold for Saturday, be great to get this to 2k plus for the final game.
Home attendances are up to over 22,500. Anyone know how our away support compares this season to last?
A lot more, same as much of the league. Which partly explains the increased home attendances

Not sure this has been mentioned but here’s City’s results when Scott Twine has played

Imagine if we had had him or his ilk all season, as literally everyone said in August

Hope he comes in with a positive happy to be here attitude. Not sure.
Seems a good player of our level but I was a little concerned when Knight said in the week that Bird is a very similar player to him

When was it? The vote for champagne moment only closed Friday evening.
Has it even happened yet?

Bloody hell. I thought I was seeing a replay of the Ipswich second goal. Sort of a 'hands off' system of defending by Hull.
I swear these things only happen to Ipswich? What sort of tactical sorcery leaves their guy (who had already scored a screamer) in acres of space from a corner?

Looking at that attendance table

All those 'big clubs' (I.e Blackburn) we have a way bigger fanbase than

Although I get the feeling that everyone’s attendances have gone up similarly over the last 20 years? This season is a bit skewed perhaps by having Sunderland, Leicester and Leeds (and not Luton) but we are 11th.
Yes attendances seem to have gone up across the board in the last year or so
Last season we had the 8th best attendance, next season no worse than 9th I reckon maybe higher if we do anything of note for once.
-
It's a shame our very high attendance figures over the last 8 years or so have coincided with a dilution in the importance of income from ticket sales compared to other revenue sources. Doesn't really give us any competitive edge versus other clubs that it would have done say 20 years ago

A goals a goal isn't it?
I would like to see us show any type of ability to score an open play goal against shit teams without it being due to a massive error. Be good for confidence in Manning for next season

Happy to see 1-0, was very desperate to imagine a nice open play goal
Sadly no

And now the game is over; still none of the moaning levels we'd have on OTIB; https://www.motforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=46446&start=20
We looked like 11 strangers playing for the first 30 minutes. No closing down of any meaningful intent, they had so much space to gain confidence on the ball. I was astounded how easily they played around us. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse it somehow did. Need to recover from this quickly.I’m fairly resigned to staying in the Champs next season, we won’t go up playing like this and if we do, we will be taken apart by Prem teams, we won’t be able to afford the marquee players we need. Sadly. Just hope we can hang on to Rutter, Joseph and Firpo(!) and rebuild a solid side as well drilled as QPR were.Try Waccoe instead
Bet that makes OTIB look like a bed of happiness

12k wow our fanbase is too big for this bloody club

His problem seems more that he has no positional sense. Good on the ball but pretty useless off it

Do what? What would have impressed you in any manager having to take over a Pearson (basket) case 6 months ago? The summer will go well because the club (ie owners & senior, respected managers will back Liam) so you have no reason to have a bad feeling. And what the hell do you mean by regression? Since when, since Cotts or since Johnson? There has been zero regression since Pearson lef; the players are happier, the cup run, we beat or draw with top teams, we smash poor teams etc etc - sometimes the negativity of you (and others) posts is simply baffling. What regression can you possibly mean?
Il wait to see whether we get 64 points (very unlikely as that would be two wins) before commenting on regression or otherwise

Excellent baiting of the Bristolian Mancs on WhatsApp tonight, wow they are very touchy

Even in their greatest hour we also got promoted and finished well above them the next season
