The accounts show the bank with profits after tax of 24m Jordanian dinars, roughly the same in pounds. That is not a lot for a bank. Our guy owns 4% . A quick Google search puts his holdings worth USD 22m. Say £16m. So not a billionaire. The bank only pays 12m in total salaries so he’s not getting wealth that way. The total net assets of the bank are 250m dinar. The estimated market value per a Google search is 300m dinar. It is a tiny bank.
I am really struggling to see why our guy is seen as a billionaire. I am delighted he is on board. He appears passionate, he has some money but not substantial amounts.
Is this true..?
He can't even afford to cover the cost of their new stadium, IF it's accurate..? I was under the impression that he was at least a billionaire..?

Hopefully turns out to be just like the Blackburn owners.

I got here early and Egremont street appears to be a real let down. Gutted.

Tuesday night, struggling, just took a large away following 3 days earlier..
What were you expecting 1500 there?
I'm not there myself, so I know I can't comment. Just pointing out that criticising the home crowd is a bit ironic.
-
What an embarrassing home crowd
how many have we got there..? 200..?
-
Meh! Wait until we unleash El Abd.Still Kike and Adomah to come on

You'd have to be content with an away point...!I had a dream this was 6-6! 6-2 down and scored 4 in the last 20 minutes...

Is that your biggest concern about all that is being discussed on this thread..?!Various clubs have used the "buy a brick" scheme to fund stadium builds/improvements over the years - to lay claim to it as your own idea is a bit like saying that you invented the wheel.

Really..?!They've got that lovely chap Leroy Lita training with them apparentley.
Surely he would still be a very effective player at basement level, if there is any chance of him signing for them.
-
Hardly "revenge" is it..?!Is this a newspaper or an end of term project by a junior school?
That is one of the worst pranks I've ever heard of!
Do they really think sainsburys give half a toss..?!

Same here. Oh, it was t wee.I swear a bit of wee just came out...

Watertight my arse!
About as watertight as the Titanic.

You just know that if This all goes in Rovers' favour, their retards/fans will be crowing about it in our direction as though we should somehow be envious!
-
No, apparently he still hasn't.Does anyone know if Bonio has found what he's looking for yet?
-
The massive support base that has only seen them have an average attendance of over 7.5k once since 1979...?!"We can see why Bristol Rovers is one of the clubs they were interested in talking to. We have an incredible fan base which is the envy of many clubs.
This makes us an attractive proposition for potential investors."

Jesus Christ, we can see where the sags get their delusion from......straight out of the mouth of Piggsy!!

That article is all about a bloke saying that he isn't interested in investing in them. It's just a space filler based on the fact that he was invited to a game and that Higgs wants out.
Someone may invest if/when they get a stadium, but not before that.
It genuinely looks like Higgs is starting to struggle with things and it's going to affect his health if he's not careful.

What a bizzare interview! Why would someone who is totally unconnected to us, highlight us as the team to watch above all the other quality teams at this level..?
Is he about to sign for us..? He must be.
Shall I put this on the long transfer rumours thead or is this worthy of it's own new thread?
Shall I do a poll to see what people think..?
-
I hope that if we ever set a new record for the lowest ever finishing position in our clubs' history, then some of our fans will mark the occassion by producing a book with some stunning photos.

Teacher says to her class "right children, today we are going to talk about what your daddies do to earn a living" after a couple of kids explaining about their fathers work as a plumber and bank clerk, the teacher asks little Tommy what his dad does.
"Well miss, my dad wears a very short skirt and puts on my mums make up, he goes up to the downs and sucks other men off and let's them use his ass for money"
The teacher is shocked by little Tommy's reply and orders him out of the classroom to explain.
"Tommy, I didn't know you dad does anything like that! Is that true..?" She asks.
Tommy replies "No miss, I'm sorry. He actually plays for Bristol Rovers but I'm too embarrassed to tell my classmates that".

A sock on their arm....?I gotta say it, "it's upside down", hahahahahahahaha. Should have the wider bit on top, when he or she (it's likely) wears a sock, it'll say Ashead.

Why..? It's a no win situation for us.Please, please, please, let us draw the Basement Pikeys in the League Cup.
Please.
We have nothing to prove.
