Hmmm strange game, City having odd moments of good play but both teams struggling with wind. Barnsley look solid team and ibehre causing probs with pace & power, and their full backs doing reasonably well against Little and Bryan. We seem best when breaking down/pressing in centre of park and going from there.

They have literally had one shot all game and that was just because of corner not defended brilliantly. Good city pressing all over the pitch and they seem to have spotted a weak point down right hand side as Ayling, Little and Freeman are constantly doing neat triangles there. Posh there for taking!

The one thing I always love about Cotts selection is keeping a solid spine to the team, but slightly worrying that he dosnt trust a reserve defender to give one of the defence a rest occasionally - I'd love to know what percentage of games Williams, Ayling & Flint start (excluding any injures or suspensions)

Regardless of the Red, sounds like City have been quite sensible with formation and general play - Swindon don't seem to have many ideas bar the counter attack. A draw now would be an excellent result

Always fustrating to miss home games but even more so frustrating when I come on OTIB and can't make out whether we played well or not because everyone has diff opinions! End of day still being unbeaten after 11 games including a few tough games shows me that we will hopefully be there for duration

I think that's more a 433 with Baldock and Burns probably wide of Barnett as neither Reid, Elliott or Pack can play left hand side. Would rather Gillett for Elliott and Cunningham in whos played well recently, but interesting team and playing for win

Interesting to read couple Ipswich fans opinions on Barnett... "On another note, Tyrone Barnett had a few good touches and his hold-up play was decent" (someone who watched Rotherham v Posh in Sept) "I was disappointed that his loan spell was curtailed, he looked a handy player in his short spell here" I dont think his signing would mean the end of any player, we just dont have many options upfront and you do need 'different clubs in the bag'

Shocked generally, I thought the club was slowly building from the bottom up and starting to get the bigger picture correct with its youth policy and playing style, I also liked having a proper manager - some people might like an idiot waving his arms about all day but SOD was an articulate man who if you heard or spoke to, you couldnt help but understand how he knew the game and was very methodical in his ways. But ultimately it is a results business and that stipulates what had to happen despite a recent upturn in performances/results. Whos next....... well I hope its not Warnock or Holloway as this would just divide supporters and its the last thing we need right now. I think we are either going to be looking at a unknown foreigner (perhaps someone that Tinnion has recommended) or someone like Paul Tisdale or Karl Robinson who would be my personal choice. The timing of this does seem strange and it wouldnt suprise me if someone has become available
