  1. I might be wrong in thinking hes away on Holiday at the moment
  2. It’s one of these random type of tweets that seems most reliable, obviously we have no idea on the reliability of these 2 guys but they look like official national team reporters and that will give them good source of knowledge. Being allowed to leave camp early “to sort Bristol City future” dosnt look good…. Semenyo was always going to be the one player we sell that would be hard to replace, but because of his characteristic’s he going to be wanted by many Prem clubs and it’s gonna take a big offer for anything to be accepted at this early stage in window. I’d say it’s got to be 15mil upfront with various add ons taking closer to 20min, but it trust club will be prepared and have someone (or 2) in mind
  3. Great signing, age dosnt matter as much when you can read the game as well as Timm. A sensible contract length too as gives him the chance to impress and get 2nd year. I do think the only thing keeping us from going to a back 4 last year was the lack of right back options, perhaps im slightly "old school" but always thought a 352 formation was too defensive minded and playing a 433/4231 would probably suit players we currently have at the club.
  4. Before anything is said bud, Good Luck and enjoy the Mental Health break - its one thing to recognise the issue, and another thing to actively do something about it
  5. Here’s a thought - what if Dasilva has been offered new contract (he’s OOC next summer) but he’s rejected, so City will look to sell and Naismith is replacement……
  6. Excellent signing, someone comfortable on the ball who can bring the ball out from the back, and a really good set piece delivery. Not sure if he’s strongest in centre or left hand side of defence? Where did he primarily play at Luton this year?
  7. 1 year contract extension will be triggered in couple weeks, so essentially he'll have 2 year contract. We've offered new contracts and twice been rejected - even if a new contract is agreed it still wouldn't potentially stopping him moving if another club came in for him. City obv have a selling price and will only sell IF this is met, the only other factor would be if Semenyo asks to leave...... IMO I dont think we'll be seeing Semenyo at the club next season, given his characteristics lots of Prem clubs (lower end) will be queuing up for him causing a bidding war. Just like the Kelly deal, it wouldnt surprise me if Bournemouth came in with early high bid to gazump other teams.
  8. Massengo playing (and bringing some kids over from France) means nothing - he like others are just seeing what else is being offered before committing either way. If selling Massengo to appease FFP meant being able to keep Semenyo and Scott one more season I’d be happy Hopefully lots of goals today
  9. Yesterday (and games before) you could see the constant play where the 2 wider centre backs went really wide (as if playing as full backs) and James and/or Williams would come short centrally to make a 4th defensive player and build out from the back. Now if we were to go 433 next year, this tactic would literally be mirroring Liverpool with the full backs (say Tanner and JD) pushing up as wide players, and James or Williams becoming the 3 defender to build from back. This means we would have a 3rd central midfielder further up (potentially Scott) who could be more attacking minded and help with goals. Only issue with that is potentially you would have Scott and Weimann in the same pockets of space and would help neither - last thing we would want now is to disturb Weimanns fine form
  10. On the subject of playing Bell (and Benayous) out of position, i think its more a case of giving these players minutes on the pitch to gain match day experience and confidence - OK its not ideal and there have been times when they have had poor games, but the experience going forward will be invaluable to both and make them stronger when they are bigger players in our squad. Would I rather see an exciting and improving 18yr Bell on the pitch at right back, potentially making mistakes and learning for long term gain? or put an aging (with no long term plan) Simpson at right back as someone who could make the same mistakes, but not have the same inclination to learn or even care about his performance knowing its probably his last season at this club?
  11. I know one player through a friend (you can prob work out who via my previous posts) and I can tell you the information on that player is wrong. So I wouldn’t believe it for Simpson either…..

Looking at the lineup today (and including subs) I would be happy with following happening to the players Bentley - stay or sold (1 year left, high wages) JD - sold (high wages, Pring replacement) Atkinson - stay, will improve Klose - release Cundy - release Scott - sell (highest market value) Williams - stay, it fit best midfielder HNM - sell (1 year left) Semenyo - sell (highest market value) Martin - stay (consistent, low value) Weimann - stay (same as Martin) Wells - sell (high wages and fee)
  13. He may have won a few free kicks, but I think his general passing has been poor. I know it’s not his natural position but just think it’s one of his off days
  14. Despite the goal and 5min of attacking play it’s still been a poor half and you could argue Posh don’t deserve to be behind. Too many players with their heads at the beach already, or head at another club (ie Scott)
  15. Dave trying downloading Kode and playing through that. Find it better than normal safari
  16. Was made an offer on reduced terms, basic is quite low with numerous adds on. COD loves it in the area, gets on well with Pearson and wants to stay, but he does have offers and in no rush to commit as hes just concentrating on getting fit in next couple weeks and trying to finish season injury free
  17. I only managed to watch second half (bloody kids) but in that time Kalas made 2/3 bad decisions leading to big chances for them, and not the type of mistakes I expect from an 8mil international defender. He wasn’t the only player to have an off day but he seemed the worst of a bad bunch
  18. 2 similar teams, with one scoring from a mistake and the other missing. Fine margins
  19. It all comes down to whether Massengo wants to sign new contract. If he dosnt then we sell him now whilst he has a year left, and we don’t allow another “asset” to leave for nothing which has happened too many times in past.
  20. Strange game to comment on, one moment of brilliance but we havnt really created many other chances. Boro look dangerous when they break the lines but then final ball is lacking. But we are going toe to toe against one of form teams in division so it’s a good start. However we’ve said this numerous times and lost so many points from being infront! I don’t see this game ending 1-0…….
  21. Sorry yes i knew he had covid. I was told that there was still a bust up over weekend regarding covid/vaccinations so guessing perhaps Pearson wasnt happy with how he caught it..... Just passing on what i heard
  22. Found it weird last night that Wells wasnt in the squad considering he scored at the weekend, and could have even been selected to freshen things up! Been told this morning that he's had bust up with Pearson over weekend, strangely enough regarding covid and vaccinations, not sure if anyone has heard anything similar.....
  23. As much as I’d love Williams to be playing, I’d love it even more if we could keep him injury free and eventually able to play 90min when needed. So not rushing him into starting 11 (where he’d need to play 60min minimum) 4 days after playing for 45min is sensible. I see that team as 442, so I don’t expect the game to be as open as others recently. But still positive……
  24. Im only aware of one side…..
  25. No more news regarding contract offer, but last talk was some while ago and neither party has suggested further talks. I’m “guessing” that someone may be seeing what they could get elsewhere…..
