  1. If people are having trouble, I opened the site through another internet explorer (such as Kode) and this helped - could be something to do with cache or saved data causing the issue.
  2. Wow!!! Despite the glamour of playing Man City, in the current climate I think asking fans to stump up £30 as a minimum is very steep, and likely to put many off who have just recovered from Christmas and the huge winter energy bills.
  3. Just to say IF a club did come in for him late, then it would be a panic buy and we could get top dollar. Not that I want him to go.
  4. I can tell you one player who signed a new contract within the past year, who is deemed as one of the “youngsters” having spent lots of time on the peripheral of the first team squad (with League Loans) ,and now having made himself a established name in the team nearly quadrupled his old wage to roughly one third of what some people think O’Leary is on……
  5. Maybe cos HNM hasnt performed well enough in training and games to warrant a start
  6. People may be hoping (so do I) that we look to sign a strong/quick player to replace Semenyo (or at least those attributes) but I’m glad we are going for someone like Cornick - someone with some trickery and ability to get past players, it’s something we are lacking with this team, genuine creativity and inventiveness
  7. He’s joined Bournemouth - If Fabrizo Romano tweets it’s true, he’s probably (after official club statements) the most trusted and reliable source out there. Guessing both clubs will announce at popular time today for best exposure
  8. Lets not forget people the reported 'Accepted' bid is from Talksport - They might have Simon Jordan as a commentator on there, but i dont believe they are the most reliable source out there. Plenty more to happen with this yet I believe
  9. Bentley currently having medical and agreed 2.5yr deal - due to be announced later today (Tweet From Liam Keen, Wolves Correspondent at Express & Star)
  10. Whilst id agree with this and hope its true, Money talks and if another club offers what the club perceive as acceptable he'll be gone -regardless of timing.
  11. Didnt well sell Bobby Reid for roughly 8mil when he only had 1 year left on contract and no intention of signing new one? You might argue that was on top of an amazing season by Bobby, but City are aware of Semenyo's higher potential and more interest so can still see us looking around that mark in the summer........ if hes still here, however I believe eventually the amount City want will be met and he'll be gone. A real shame as its not coincidence our recent good form has coincided with his
  12. Spoke to friend who’s at the game. Said Swansea having lots of possession but don’t look dangerous at all, and seem more interested in the possession stat, rather than actually trying to score. Whereas City do look dangerous with Semenyo particularly looking to continue his good form.
  13. Playing devils advocate here, but if/when Scott is sold how much would we really miss him? Im not denying he's a fantastic footballer, but in terms of what he currently brings to the team (and what we probably need right now) would the money not be welcome if we can actually get a more creative midfielder who can give us more assists and goals from centre of pitch? Tin hat on........
  14. I think @Davefevs is prob referring to just Martin and Bents when he mentions 25k p/w
  15. Nixon has also tweeted saying Bournemouth in for Semenyo. A palace Dan asked if they were still in for him, and he replied something like “they had chance”
  16. Having “an engine” in centre midfield is very outdated, you need to have players with good positional sense and the ability to ‘run’ games - HNM may have been a good technical player but he had neither of the above, and that’s why players like James and Williams play more In terms of Bents he’s been a very good GK for us and I wish him all the best, but a combination of City wanting a cheaper/younger no1 for the future, and Bents probably wanting to see if he could get a shot at higher level (maybe a sub at lower level prem club)
  17. Let’s be fair it’s a good point to make, many other managers with this poor return from last 14 games, or indeed his overall win rate since being with us is around 25%, are both valid reasons for sacking. We are in a results based business and the table dosnt lie. BUT like many others im looking at the bigger picture with City, to coin a Pearson phrase “I don’t like the Scatter Gun approach” and happy to give 1 proven manager a good amount of time to address issues on and off the pitch. I understand many peoples negatives thoughts about Pearson, but personally I think we are in better hands with him till end of seaon, unless results get that bad we are really in trouble, but I don’t see that happening especially with performances like yesterday
  18. Morning All, A few thoughts after sleeping on it...... 1) It was a cup game, and pretty much every City was happy or at least expected numerous changes to give youngsters or squad players some minutes. There is also the chance of a cup upset, thats the nature (and some might say beauty) of the competition. 2) The performance was shocking and not many players come out of the game with credit, but it does serve the purpose in showing NP more about players - J D S - has his form from end of last year and start of this year faltered because he OOC in 8 months and his mind is 'elsewhere' - I think its fair to say over last few games (and previously) that Pring is more than an adequate replacement and is probably on 10k a week less than him. MOVE ON Sykes - another who's early season form (perhaps newly found confidence from big summer move) has gone and hes struggling, think Tanner/Wilson/Weimann will be ahead of him for RWB position and maybe he should start to train/play further forward as he did for Oxford. Klose - not the same man we signed after his great first season for us, talks of personal issues and niggly injuries all year havnt helped. Another who probably won't be near starting 11 once Kalas & Naismith return Semenyo - nowhere near the standards of last year, another who's probably had his head turned by talk of moving on to bigger clubs. He's the "Crown Jewel" we should look to sell and reinvest in the squad. MOVE ON 3) The Winter/World Cup break has come at the right time, gives NP 6 weeks to potentially try a new formation with returning players, and plan for an important Jan transfer window. Its a weird league this year, are we the 4th worst team in the league? Id safely say no, but the table dosnt lie and we need to make changes quickly before we are dragged into it. NP knows the squad, will now have a better idea of his best 11, and more importantly knows where he needs to make changes - a new manager coming in wont have the game time to see players in action and therefore will go into next window blind. I understand peoples anger at last nights result, but getting rid of NP is not the right thing to do.
  19. I think we'd still get a nominal fee, he's a good quality Champ GK who has been linked to lower end Prem Clubs in the past - no idea of amount but even 200-300k and wages off our accounts should allow for an incoming
  20. Just a thought, but if Bajic was to start tonight do you think Bentley could be sold during January transfer window if this meant releasing funds for another player to come in?
  21. Bajic, Bell and Lowe not playing for U21s, but Massengo starting - should give you idea of tonights team
  22. One modern aspect of Max’s game which is far better than Bentleys is his ability with ball to feet. It’s such a modern day necessity for a GK to have, and going forward we need to be using this too.
  23. Just gone for City to win and both teams to score at 7-1 - here’s hoping ?
