I've been following Bristol City since 1990 but unlike you I have no agenda I just support the club but  I can acknowledge that the positive things the  current ownership have done far outweigh the negative like bankrolling a business than loses £300,000 a week.

You also have to take into account that he’s running the business that was losing £300k a week, you have to ask yourself how he allowed it to get to that position? Regardless of who you employ to set strategies, negotiate player sells & acquisitions, order the stock, sell the tickets and run the business/corporate arms you should be close enough to your business to understand the numbers & ultimately sign off the expenditure! Only one person who could have stopped in getting to that position and that’s the owner! Sounds mad doesn’t it when you think about it as he’s been so successful in wider businesses to have generated the wealth that he has.

Cardiff aren’t a side I’ve really watched this season, but have a load of familiar names….including a few who’ve caused us problems in the past - Meite, Bowler, Robinson.

Their fans have been impressed with Goutas the CB, and Collins at LB looked good early last season until he got a bad injury.

They aren't a side we should be fearing though…but our injuries are really gonna make this tough.  They are outperforming their numbers a bit, and are the lowest pressing team in the league.  But I can’t comment too much on whether that’s poor execution or they generally sit deep.

Sorry, I can’t add much more.

    Thanks Fevs informative as always.

  3. Looking at who might be available I’d probably go with something like this argument you could put Bell or Cornick up top with Tommy (if he isn’t rested).

Skye’s has been good at RB but we have missed his forward threat the last 2 games think this would give us more of an outlet/balance.

Have we been given more tickets for this one? - looked close to a sell-out last week before more were available earlier this week and now more showing this morning?

I thought the same thing thought this has sold out and each time I go online more tickets appear in batches of around 50.

I know we were provided around 1800 tickets initially and was mentioned that QPR no longer sell restricted view tickets (around 500) maybe they’ve opened those up?!

The same Atyeo stand that the majority on here used to say was crap for atmosphere...  crap roof .....crap acoustics.

100% mental people want to go back in there! Away fans are louder because they’re away fans same as when we go away we’re louder than at home and the opposition home fans happens all around the country but some people think it’s unique to us!

  6. Over 3,000 home tickets left which is a lot compared to previous 2 league home matches thought this one might be popular given Swansea away win. I guess this maybe be the most populated season ticket holder match for the season so far now that the holidays are over.

looking like 18.5k home fans and 3.4 baggies so might just tip 22k with 4/500 pay on the day.

COYR hopefully first home win incoming.

I believe we have two quick solutions to this. The first being to knock down the Atyeo and rebuild it with an increased capacity. It would mean having no away fans for a season, but shouldn't affect the home fans and should only impact one season. The second being building an upper tier the South Stand. I understand it was built in such a way that an upper tier can easily be added. How long this would take and what inconvenience this would cause to fans in that stand I have no idea though.

No way we will redevelop the Atyeo even a new stand would only increase the capacity by 1,000  no way without houses being bought we’d spend money to house an extra 1,000 people just wouldn’t make any financial sense.

Regards any 2nd tier highly unlikely would need to buy out 7-8 houses and get permission to build/no objection from residents.

No way and maybe rightly so Lansdown would fund any developments in short to medium term.

I heard a while back Dolman stand rebuild more likely than either end to look similar to Lansdown stand.

  8. We’ve given Brum and additional 450 tickets this morning meaning they have full 3k. Still plenty of home tickets remaining 1k left in the Dolman & 1800 across the lansdown based on current numbers looks like around 18,500 home tickets sold and a crowd of around 21,500 2k down on opening day with over double the away attendance that PNE brought, that said lots on holiday game 1 so those empty seats maybe more populated and crowd may look similar to opening day. Tough game Saturday for sure.

  9. 100% me and blokes next to me said exactly the same thing ball just didn’t seem to run on and passes were often short for both teams maybe we should have played one game on there pre season to get used to the pace or lack of.

  10. Looks like just 230 tickets left in the home areas of stadium. Think available bike tickets normally max at 22.5k, understand that PNE have sold over 1k so should be 23.5-24k which is a solid effort. Appreciate there will be many on holiday, I know a few but should look pretty healthy let’s hope for a good start and get some of mates rates attendees back fro league match 2.

Biggest talking point I reckon is that he said even if we sell Scott we won’t be able to sign many more players as we are at the top end of our wage budget already.

He also referred to us looking to sign one more player which I inferred was a goalkeeper (although he didn’t specify that).

The rest of it was the usual stuff but he seemed happy with how things are shaping up.

Agree biggest talking point but even if we can reinvest any of it he’s not going to publicly promote that we can surely if he clubs would be pushing up prices on any bids we may make.
