Won’t be anywhere near 20k unless ticket sales pick up quickly current site showing,

    4,089 left in Dolman

    3,889 left in south stand

1,886 left in lower Lansdown stand, upper not open.

entire lower bowl of stadium seats 21,000.

if WBA sell 3.5k that leaves 700 spare in Ateyeo Stand.

That means so far 10,436 sold if WBA sell their full allocation.

Might get 13/14k if we’re lucky.

Now looks like around 15k sold including 3.5k away fans. With just under 6,000 home tickets still available. Would have hoped for around 18-19k would have felt like a decent effort. Thoughts on 16-16.5k attendance? Which is looking likely.

Yep. I’m not in any way slagging off the move to A Block. I’m all for it and always have been. Just saying that our stadium can be a bit weird at times in terms of what you can and can’t hear depending on where you are.
I’m pretty much equidistant to A Block and S82, but both the last 2 games I’ve only heard S82.
Which again is odd, because for the previous few games prior to that, there was nothing coming from S82 at all! It’s all very odd!

You’re right since the E34 location of singers s82 has become much louder and maybe see it as a challenge, I sit 2 blocks away from s82 defiantly louder then usual last 2 games, that said songs are spreading there is a group of guys in s24/25 who are staring songs regularly and they’re getting louder also. Long May it continue. COYR.

Great that we have started singing it back, well played.

Not new though, we used to sing it on the East End donkeys years ago. But now the words are a bit shit.
    I heard people sing...

    I can't read & I can't write
But I can drive a tractor
    Im a Bristol City Fan
and I can drive a Tractor

OK, and I've only listened from distance, but come on. How about going back to what we used to sing, proper Bristol.

I cassent read, I cassent write
But that don't really matter (don't pronounce the T's and emphasis on the R , obviously)
Cus I comes up from Somerset
    and I can drive a Tractor ( pronounced Track-ter )

The Old ones are the best.

    Thank you for your time.

Is this actually a post… Jesus how much time on your hands and talking about the pronunciation. Have a rest mate. Worst post I’ve ever seen.

Today proved that there is far more demand for standing areas than the club are currently willing to accommodate. 1000 seats shoved away in a corner doesn’t cut it.

If the club had any sense, or desire to generate atmosphere at Ashton Gate the entirety of block A would be turned into safe standing, along with the current corner, which would avoid all of the issues today with people having to stand on the stairs and unable to get to their seats. Anyone who currently has a season ticket in block A (not many at all, 100 max), could easily be reallocated to another Dolman block should they wish to do so.

It could be done for next season but unfortunately I think this is the exact thing the club will be desperate to stamp out.

I’m pretty sure from memory that due to the grading/degree of angle of the Dolman stand that it doesn’t meet the requirements for safe standing, I maybe wrong and if I recall maybe the bottom tier of the Dolman may be ok.

  6. Looking at ticket site shows around 10.5k tickets available in hime stands and that is with the top tier of the Lansdown being shut also.

    Tickets remaining

    SS 3.5k

    lower Lansdown 2k

    dolman 5k

based on that I reckon that means we’ve shifted 6.5k home tickets add a few from Lincoln might be 7k max plus walk up on day we might break 8/8.5k pretty poor considering the offers on tickets not sure what more club could have done other than be higher up the championship and people wanting to watch.

  7. No way you could have standing permitted in the Dolman especially upper as the angle for safe standing is over the allowed value apparently also, if you had A &B blocks standing then the rest of the dolman would have an obstructed view and have to stand.

I really don’t understand why people think that the home fans need to be next to the away fans, other grounds that have this set up still produce poor atmospheres where side by side.

Good example of a good atmosphere is Newcastle where the fans defiantly aren’t side by side.

extend s82 centrally behind the goal imo. Most fans who wanna sing sit behind the goal.

  8. Club needs to move S82 to behind the goal for me but just can’t see how they logistically do it with current season tickets etc.

there is an element that try and create noise centrally in SS so putting them all together should spread make section 82 bigger and better would hate the singing section to be in the Dolman stand especially block A as in upper you can’t even see the away fans towards that side.

often wonder what might have been with Holden in charge longer term, started so well was very likeable and managed us under very unique circumstances (Covid, injury nightmares and Mark Ashton) shame he never managed us with a crowd at the Gate reckon he’d have loved that.

  10. Really weird on radio Bristol after they asked Pearson if Pring was a positive which he failed to say yes too, very much for me his reply was about Prings attitude without saying so much. Words like it’s up to him!

Went for a place south of the ground and ring road, after people saying roads are closed in the vacinity of the ground for an hour post match. Sure you'll be fine.

Sound like you’ve got the right idea, where did you park mate?

Blackpool on Saturday, looking forward to it.

What does Nige do to the squad this weekend and moving forward. Wilson was obviously very impressive on Wednesday, and does he get the spot in the team as a natural RWB? Scott had a decent game against Diff, wouldn't dare to think Pearson would drop him ahead of it.

Williams and Weimann in the stands on Wednesday, heard Andi is carrying a knock and Joe being rested.  Presume Andis fit for the weekend?

Does Antoine come back in to the 11 as we 1000% play better with more speed through the middle (hence our success with conway) but it would be unfair to drop Nakhi after a few decent performances.

    Opinions?

Not sure Wilson impressed last night from what I’ve heard, might sound odd given he got an assist and goal.

  13. Even after clearing dead wood and several new signings I still think we seem way to reliant on a 3-5-2 we just don’t have the personnel to play a different system I don’t think.

Are we good enough to play a 4-4-2 not sure we have a strong 2/partnership at CB or CM to not get overrun which got me thinking about something as close to a 442 that we may get away with….

King shielding back 4, retiming 3 across the middle who could be fluid and Wiemann plying just off the the striker in the hole and dropping back in when needed. Thoughts?

Assuming HNM back from illness, Atkinson fit and Williams can’t play 2 games in short success.

any chance we may see Kalas on bench minimum?

  15. I’m hugely and quickly losing confidence in NP having previously been very supportive.

It can’t be any coincidence that we start games on the front foot quick passing, playing high up looking decent get in front (Hull, Sunderland, Wigan) and then stop pressing drop deeper and give away the ball. We’ve proved we can play but then suddenly our game changes always when we’re in front.

lack of subs today before the equaliser was unreal especially in the heat when you can now use 5 subs taking off Conway and not Martin,

not bringing on King to shield the defence after doing so, so we’ll in the week. Not replacing the in effective JD with Pring.

    Beggars belief TBF.
