Interested to see what the crowd was there today..they had 10k against Norwich and the new barn had a bigger capacity today so as they always sell out..I'm guessing 11k ish.

Not seeing it anywhere, WW - probably too ashamed to release the figures given it will compare very badly to our 23,611.

Since they LOVE cherry picking attendances this is worth zeroing in on.

  2. That’s the middle stump knocked out of GasGoMarchingIn’s post on the WHU / Liverpool forums saying “The SHEEDS may have taken 9k to London but wait until you see…”

It’s probably for the best that bRISTOLS oLDEST aND gREATESTESTEST cLUB has been dumped out of the competition - Liverpool have had all sorts of challenges getting the new Anfield Road Stand open, what with the contractors going bust.

The thought have having to quickly stack on four more tiers to accommodate the blue and white quartered masses in their tens of thousands was giving the owners sleepless nights.

    Winning a replay against a higher-division team isn’t for everybody, Scum. :)

I thought they were a mixed bunch and that some of them could barely kick a ball straight.
This is the other annoying thing.Bristol City were absolute gash last night. If it was some inspired performance by a lower league team that really rattled the superior opponents,I could accept it, but they were ****ing awful. Take out their comedy goal, they wouldn't have scored as long as I have a hole in my arse.It is worrying that we couldn't even compete against that.

Oh, you were rattled alright, my Newham slum-dwelling learned friend.

As graceless and pathetic as those comments are - we matched them blow for blow over the 180 minutes, he does have a grain of truth about our lack of goalscoring threat. Nakhi should have buried that chance and put the tie out of sight.

But I look forward to the hole in Ludo’s arse healing up when we face our whipping boys Watford again Saturday. 👍

Go on any Rovers site and you'll find accusations of media bias towards City. Go on any Celtic or Rangers site and you'll find each accusing their local media of bias towards their rivals. I'd hazard a guess that this is repeated in any two  team city.

I used to work for the Daily Record and I can confirm this is true. Celts called it The Daily Ranger and Gers called it the Daily Rebel.

Side note, a memorable back page splash during my time there had the Ibrox chairman warning his then underachieving players, “If you don’t shape up you’ll end up at Bristol Rovers.” I wasn’t responsible, honest, but it’s good to know your lot are a universal euphemism for s**t. ;)

  5. We set about them, but it wasn’t OTT. It may be a league of exceptionally skilled players but they are also a bunch of shandy-drinking Pewseys who roll in the clover more than Adge Cutler’s milkmaids.

Grown accustomed to being bailed out by manipulating the officials into awarding them non-existent fouls or calling play back about eigh hours after an incident due to VAR. None of that namby pamby bollards tonight - sorry if we were too rough for you, St Winifrid’s School Choir.

Can’t lie that actually felt like we were playing a mid table championship side for the majority of the game.

Really solid performance, wasteful at times but got the job done. Need to follow it up Saturday now!!

Most mid table Championship sides would probably have given us more butterflies defending a slender lead heading into four minutes of additional time.

Even a man down and with a severely weakened squad, it looked like West Ham felt as of going out of the FA Cup was actually a good thing. Sad if true but take nothing away from City, who as I said weren’t exactly superb but gave 100% all night and were worthy victors.

  7. Great result, City, and thoroughly deserved over the course of the 180 minutes. We didn’t even play that well tonight but Weet Ham were utterly gutless. Nice to see us set about them a bit and that tit Benrahma took the bait. Great backing from the Red Army.

It was screened on ESPN+ here and Stewart Robson was on co-commentary. He was practically crying.

Now, hopefully we can kick on in the league. I saw someone say they’d rather three points than win this but I strongly, strongly disagree - these types of evenings live long in the memory.

Now over to Norwich at the Stadium of Quiet and hope they can deny the Slags a trip up to Anfield and not have me in the awkward position of having to cheer on the Bin Dippers.

    Well done 👍

Ahh, tomorrow I will be telling everyone about our fantastic 14000 fans at West Ham today. I mean for a club like us to take 15000 to West Ham for a 3rd cup match is just superb.

Excellent effort from all 16000 of us. 👏

It’ll still never match 4,500 Prowed and Troo Gastards at Stamford Bridge despite there being a train strike, bus strike and petrol shortage so all of them had to crawl to SW London on their hands and knees. ;)

It was 10,000 mate. We took 10,000 to West Ham. If everyone just says 10,000 over and over, then it becomes the case that we took 10,000 to West Ham. Which is what happened today.

Are we sure? I understand the allocation was 8,924 - we sold it out and didn’t get handed any more.
