  1. Pity too many ****wits like Hain and his verminous kind never made the same connection.

Are you refering to the African born middle class whitey Cultural Marxist Peter Hain? Close buddy of Tony Blair? Has Peter Hain - like the rest of the Labour Party leadership - actually done a proper day's work for a shit wage in his entire life?

  2. As much as I personally don't want to see SL leave this club, it always amazes me how many people are convinced we won't survive without him.

91 other football league clubs seem to be surviving, and the majority of them are better placed in the league than us !

Indeed, 91 other league clubs are surviving without Steve Lansdown and his money and only 24 of those football clubs are currently below us !!!!!!!

  3. I believe if you polled most city fans (and remember most don't even use this excuse of a forum) they would rather close down the waste of space that calls itself the supporters trust and close down this laugh a minute forum, than risk losing the Lansdowns. What we need is less fan power not more for godsake. This forum has never agreed on anything. How on earth it could represent the majority of good honest people is beyond me. Just try supporting and cheering on your team and leave it at that ladies!

You're a true puppet of the Lansdown regime. On your knees and lick Lansdown's boots.

  4. list all the times that are in the black in the football league, and I bet you could count them on 1 hand, wolves have invested heavy and find themselves in league one Portsmouth gambled and find theirselfs in league two Darrlington gambled and disapeared,

There are 92 league club and 50 million quid over 10 years is peanuts to what most of the top two leagues spend

Yep, Portsmouth very recently competed in the Premiership and won the FA Cup - so they've got something to show for their money and support. What you also haven't mentioned is the fact that Portsmouth were in division 4 in 1979 - so 34 years on they're back where they were.

  5. The other thing that keeps coming back to me is what happened to the Gas and Eastville. Ground owned by a separate entity, albeit with a common owner. Two sports. Owner gets fed up with the stick he gets because the football club is going nowhere. Falls out of love with the football club. Sells ground. And the Gas are still paying the price for that.

Steve Lansdown was a Tote Ender so that's part of his memory and background as a Gashead.

  6. For what it's worth, and from the little I watch, they do appear to be making some kind of effort recently to be less biased in their presentation of events now that the focus of attention is upon them and the higher echelons are perhaps beginning to worry about the possibility of privatisation. Still no coverage on the website about the anti-austerity, anti-EU demonstrations across Italy this week, however, but plenty on the pro-EU demos in the Ukraine.

Another example of EU loving bias from the BBC. The BBC should be showing the anti EU demonstrations in Italy and Greece on a regular basis - it is their obligation to do so under their charter. The Ukraine can have our membership place in the EU is the message that should be broadcast on the BBC. The Ukraine is desperate to join the EU - we should be charitable at this festive time and give them our place in the EU.

I noticed that BBC Question Time was broadcast from South Africa yesterday with the Middle Class Cultural Marxist whitey - Peter Hain - featuring on the show. Peter Hain and his Labour party fuhrer Tony Blair should be deported to South Africa - or better still Zimbabwe-Rhodesia - where they can be dispossessed of their land and assets.

  7.

The comparison with Hitler is because having studied European History my whole academic life, I cannot find a single piece of evidence that suggests that Hitler actually killed a Jew (or anyone for that matter) himself, he arranged for his minions to do his bidding. In comparison to Mandela, was not him that set off the bomb (s), but he planned it. That means he has blood on his hands, innocent people's blood and their death's on his conscience.

......this is interesting because during the first war Herr Hitler was a front line soldier that won the Iron Cross first class - rare for a Corporal. Still no evidence that he actually killed anyone. However, there is speculation that Hitler may have killed his own niece post World War 1. Hitler seemed to have a mesmeric personality over the German masses and yes he did get others to do his bidding. In contrast, Nelson Mandela was a very well educated and well read man while Hitler was semi educated. To me Hitler ran a death cult responsible for the deaths of tens of millions. In contrast, it could be that - in the end - Nelson Mandela helped to save the lives of millions and for all his dodgy past he seemed to love life unlike Hitler.

  8. Us Brits do love a bit of mawkish third hand sentimentality. Tell people someone's a hero often enough and they'll eventually believe it. I'd love to know how much of the moral indignation directed at negative posts on this thread are a result of recent Wikipedia sessions, as opposed to genuine empathy with South Africa's turbulent past.

The facts of Mandela's terrorist leanings are still facts, even if some try to interpret them otherwise (hilariously)

Back to sticking fingers in ears and lalalalala-ing when anyone offers a different opinion all you Nelson fans!

The elitist led BBC propaganda news and views agency hasn't stopped pumping the airwaves with Nelson Mandela sentimentalities for the past few days. I was trying to watch the end of a Cold War submarine documentary on BBC2 when they first started bleating about his death. I notice that the Lib-Lab-Con high command are all out in South Africa - including warmonger Tony Blair - all at taxpayers' (our) expense of course. The BBC are bigging up all these publicity merchants as well.

  9. This is exactly what will happen. Housing will be built on the land which will have to include about 40% social housing. Any housing development these days have to have a certain amount of social housing to obtain permission.

If the stadium is not built in AV - it would make a great site for affordable housing. They could then be let out to the Roma immigrants from Romania and Bulgaria. The nimby clan should be careful what they wish for....

Indeed, with Lib-Lab-Con EU traitor politicians having signed us up to the EU project I doubt if little or any of the social housing at Ashton Vale with be allocated to local Bristolian families.

  10. Semblar the club are not adhering to their own statements. Fans are being banned for life who have not committed any violent offences.

If the community trust works with offenders service e.g Community payback shouldn't this work now cease?

Effectively BCFC are saying that offenders cannot be rehabilitated, but players have appeared in City color's who have had criminal convictions. Will BCFC now have a policy in place regarding ex offenders?

Excellent points that challenge the very core of the current BCFC ethos. The club board should now make clear its policy towards ex offenders of all categories and not just those that have committed very minor football related offences for which they can now be banned for life.

  11. It goes further.

Bristol City FC are making their own rules up as they go along with little thought. The five pillars includes Community - the Bristol City Community Trust.

How can the Bristol City Community Trust work with youth offending services/probation etc when the club themselves are banning fans for life!

I'm wondering what type of supporters the club actually want. The City v Gas cup game was the only game in years where there was a proper traditional football atmosphere. We actually won the game and many supporters were overcome with emotion and there was much rejoicing. :D  Maybe if the club put out a team of players that were capable of winning more home games then the supporters would not be so inclined to invade the pitch in celebration. Making winning home games is the priority that the $billionaire Lansdown family should be prioritizing with their ownership of this football club.

  12. I totally agree - they are hardly going to destroy evidence by burning their hard-drives and note books like a certain ginger newspaper friend of the prime minister appears to have done.

A few dawn raids would also have been more appropriate on the BBC's Jimmy Savile when he was alive - but hey ho, it seems as if Savile was being protected by a senior Policeman.

  13. In all my many days upon this earth I have been subjected to all sorts of opinions- good bad and irrelevant, and as a liberal minded individual I give time and space to each.

However, never before have I witnessed such a non sensical, irrelevant, desperately craving attention post .

2000 years ago entertainment was men in a pit killing each other with wild animals for good measure- let's bring this back !

    Utter garbage sir !

2,000 years ago that was ancient Rome, I'm writing about the relevance of Medieval English culture and not about ancient Rome. I'm not craving any kind of attention, I'm stating my opinion in what is supposed to be a free society where freedom of speech and expression are paramount. I get the impression that you don't know - or don't want to know - the English origins of the modern game of football.

  14. As others have said they are innocent until proven guilty, but not in the eyes of the OTIB self righteous posters. The same posters that have probably already decided that the ones that have been charged MUST be guilty, because the police say so !!

How do you know that those same self righteous OTIB posters are not the Police themselves? ;)
