As a man of a certain age, I'm very pleased with my Kia EV. Very much cheaper than a Tesla. I get the advertised range (280 miles in summer, less in winter) without having to change my driving habits or forego aircon/heating, radio or other mod cons. It goes like the clappers. And my embarrassingly frequent stops at motorway service stations are the perfect opportunity to top up the battery!

I can't tell whether you actually believe this, or are just trolling, and I'm not sure which is the most depressing

So SL didn't reach for the ring binder marked "Available managers guaranteed to be successful". Silly man! So many posters are dismissive of LJ, but in December 2017 I felt more optimistic about this club than I've done in the last 40 years (that includes Wembley 2008). It didn't work out, but I still believe it was worth a try. And LJ was definitely part of our progression from Championship-League One yo-yo to an established Championship club.

I would have watched, but so relieved it wasn't available ....

I really don't get the point of such posts. Such small-minded willy waving actually makes us look tinpot. There are enough genuine absurdities to laugh at (e.g. their ground, horse punching, minibus headbutting, open top bus tour, Santa's grotto, Doncaster Utd, boob cricket, and so on), whereas taking 937 fans to Sheffield mid-week for a televised match during a cost of living crisis when there's a Saturday match at Derby three days later isn't obviously either a complete joke or an embarrassment

Fingers crossed that he'll be the third longest serving on Wednesday morning!

But isn't this a massive argument AGAINST the Monarchy? If a band of reprobates plotted a coup in 1974, isn't it deeply worrying that they thought they could succeed with the support of the royal family? Fortunately the particular royals at the time were reasonable enough not to go along with it. But a monarchy is hereditary so there is absolutely no control over who takes over the reins (or the reigns, sorry!) and a different set of royals might have gone along with it.

Gosh, what an unpleasant and patronising response. You don't know anything about me or about my understanding of how Government works in practice (clue - I don't work in the private sector). This is a forum (the clue is in the name) but if this is how you respond to opposing views (and if you really believe what you've written then good luck to you) then I'm really not sure it's worth continuing. Your statement that "one doesn't vote for a party" is perhaps correct on a very, very pedantic level, but in reality it's so far from how politics works that I really haven't a flipping clue what planet you're on. Over and out.

Lots of people seem to have been agreeing, so I'll take up the challenge. Just to put my cards on the table, I am not in any way anti-royal. They bring a lot of pleasure to many people in the country, they are great for tourism, and they are mostly harmless. I was surprised myself how sad I felt on Thursday. However ... I'm sorry but your argument doesn't stack up. You've cherry picked a few examples of bad presidents, but that doesn't prove a thing. Nothing personal, but I'm amazed you put forward these arguments in the very week that a new UK PM has been sworn in, elected by a few thousand totally unrepresentative morons and not even the first choice of her own MPs, and she looks likely to introduce new policies that are quite different from the manifesto on which the current government was elected. Do you really think that's a good system. I certainly don't.

Reminds me of the old joke small ad: "It's my wedding this weekend, but I also have a ticket for Bristol City. Does anyone want to go in my place? Her name's Louise and she'll be the one in the white dress"
-
Wasn't it rag ass? ?️??

One of the BTL comments said this: "Incidentally the Bristol City game was my favourite of last season and coincidentally, I've been saying since Saturday that their fans made more noise than the Liverpool support. (Even after Mitro et al had thoroughly punished their temerity in taking the the lead - twice- with the Mother of all Comebacks.) Not having a dig at Liverpool, they really were that quiet - and Bristol's support is that good."
-
Oh please - why do some posters have to look for arguments anywhere. Horse punching and minibus headbutting may be violent, but they are different from core football violence and they are also pathetically funny. And you'll notice I said "almost everything" about Joey, his violence is the reason I didn't say "everything". Sometimes I really cannot believe we all follow the same game and mostly support the same team
-
I with you on this Miah, and get bored rigid by all these angels on pinheads arguments about who's got the most violent fans, the best away support etc. It's all so unnecessary as there's already plenty enough indisputable comedy gold we can all enjoy together (the tents and the occasional new "stand", unlucky da shit (we're coming for you), Darrell's canine onanism, Mansfield, horse punching, almost everything about Joey, Doncaster Utd, santa's grotto, that open top bus, headbutting a minibus, Matty Taylor, plus lots of other things I can't remember, and of course the gap). Keep on posting!

Hopefully they'll do a Barnsley ?

Such a shame Scunny didn't score after the restart, that would have been SO funny. JB had said in advance that if Rovers were winning they'd go for it, so Northampton should have done the same
-
From BBC "We've finally, finally got the players back on the pitch as the referee gets it up and running again at the Mem. The security has been significantly bolstered around the stands but the referee has suggested that if fans return to the pitch again the game will be abandoned." Go on Scunny fans, you know what to do ?

SL is often criticised for alleged mistakes and acts of stupidity, usually with the benefit of hindsight. But this may be the biggest load of b****ocks I've seen posted about him. No-one seeking to make money should go anywhere near an EFL football team. The only way to make a small fortune from EFL teams is to start with a large one
