A lot of the Samoan squad will have been born and bred in NZ, Auckland alone has about the same amount of Samoan’s as the actual country of Samoa has!. For instance, in the last Rugby Union WC, 18 players in the Samoan squad were born in New Zealand!.

For me human error is part of football. Officials make mistakes yes, but the players make a whole lot more!. I don’t want the ‘perfect’ game, I want football as it always has been, unpredictable. I hate the way the game is going,it’s not a tv programme, it’s a sport where anything can happen. Plymouth v Exeter on Monday night was the sort of game I want to watch, none of this VAR rubbish. The thing is, this was a common coming together, it happens all over the pitch at different stages in every game. These are accepted as ‘part of the game’ nowadays.

Sharpe was offside no doubt, the Lino should have seen that. The tackle/foul on Williams should have been a red, no doubt about it, if the referee had seen it ( which he clearly couldn’t of, because every referee would have given a red card in that instance). Tanner’s was 100% a red, no argument there, his opponent has quick feet and was just too quick for Tanner this time. The other one bought up is Wells and a penalty, absolutely no chance. Just good defending, Wells let himself get bullied by a stronger player.

Too many aimless crosses into the box. Crossing for crossing’s sake. Not even from areas where the cross is likely to be dangerous. We need some guile, one two’s etc, get to the by-line. We are very predictable imo.

Exeter have about 4/5 players who have been with them since their early youth days. Great to see these lads now playing at this level. Archie Collins the goal scorer for Exeter is a Bridgwater lad. You wouldn’t meet a nicer down to earth lad.

So the fact the same thing happened at the same stadium, in games between Spurs and Wolves in 81, Sheff Wed v Coventry AND Coventry v Leeds in 87 ( except for deaths). Still gives you thoughts that it couldn’t have happened to any other club than Liverpool? Why didn’t the same thing happen when the two teams ( Liverpool and Forrest ) met at the same ground in the semi final the previous season?.

Very much the same happened in 1981 at the Spurs v Wolves semi, 1987, Sheff wed v Coventry in the cup quarter final, and Coventry v Leeds semi final. Crikey mate, it kicked off for a good 10 minutes halfway through the first half. Everything was happening, the terrace floor was made of cinders/gravel/stones, most of it ended up in a different place, as it was being thrown by both mobs. pool balls were flying around everywhere, and hand to hand fighting was rife. Millwall were in the ground the whole 90 minutes, some City that used the toilets got beat up badly, and one ( at least ) got cut up badly with a knife. The trouble continued after the game.
