  1. I clearly stated the second half of seasons! You can make all the excuses possible to give, but as a Bristol City manager he was given more money to spend, than quite possibly every previous manager spend put together. He has done absolutely nothing during his management career, except a league cup semi final, and this was the only period of time as City manager he was was forced ( by injuries) to take ‘tinker’ with the team!.
  2. It’s a clear trait of any LJ side that they go into a steady decline during the second half of a season. The proof is there for all to see!.
  3. Can you imagine Pearson blaming everyone else every time his team loses a game ??. Nor can I. But LJ did, and was doing it at Sunderland as well. Perhaps they realised earlier than our owner, that he’s just not good enough as a coach/ manager.
  4. I didn’t see anything close to a penalty for us tonight.
  5. Bideford had these floodlights long before we changed ours, these are not ours.
  6. Correct me if I’m wrong, but is this the same LJ Sunderland that were getting spanked by four and six goals whilst he was still their manager ?. The rot had kicked in, that’s why they sacked him.
  7. Pring’s challenge looked a red all day long. It was high, I think he got the Reading player near the stomach. He was very lucky to get away with it.
  8. It became personal to me when he destroyed my love of watching us play, when he claimed his love for my club, after saying the same about Oldham and Barnsley, when he thought he was the high and mighty, and none of us watching were worthy of understanding the game. The strange thing is that I quite liked him as a player, always playing it simple, keeping the ball, giving it to players who were far more talented than him. But as a coach/manager he thinks he is some kind of inimitable expert, that must be looked up too. His after match interviews are farcical and pathetic, talking down to people who just watched 90 minutes of sheer shite, by trying to tell them they didn’t understand what they were watching. No other Championship club would have gone anywhere near him ( someone give me one reason why they would of? ) when SL hired him. He had done nothing to warrant coming here, except being a mate of the owners son. Yes, it’s personal, i and many others have been involved with football for 50 years plus, one thing I don’t need is someone who isn’t very good at his job, trying to tell me what I’m watching.
  9. Fans of other clubs had the thoughts that he was doing a good job when he was here, but they never had to sit and watch drab, boring, negative football, and then get told we won the game on “box entries” after losing for the ninth time in a row!. In my view he is a fraud, one cup run in 8-9 seasons as a manager is no track record, basically he has done absolutely zilch in his management career. He took away my love of watching my club play, for that I will never forgive him. Sunderland have done what SL should have done 2-3 years earlier, in fact, he should never have been appointed here in the first place.
  10. The ex players I’ve heard on certain podcasts, are far from fond of him ?
  11. “Johnson out” has been trending on twitter for 2-3 months, people saw this 6-0 coming!!
  12. The 3 teams going up next season have already been decided, Burnley, Watford and Norwich!!
  13. Yep, and they weren’t prepared for what came their way, they ran back with their tails between their legs!
  14. The two minutes highlights on MOTD wouldn’t have given us much money!
  15. Quite possibly, but as the challenge was on his blind side, and the ball went off in the direction of the defenders challenge, could he have been 100% certain ?
  16. Not at all, I’m just pointing out the other view. If you knew it was 100% a penalty from where you were in the ground, without watching a replay from behind the goal, then perhaps you should take up refereeing, as your far better than any referee I know!. I will say it again, no referee could be 100% certain that was a penalty from looking at that incident from behind the play, ( re ref being in a shit position, Usain Bolt wouldn’t have got there to see it) and if you are not certain you cannot give it. If you want referees to guess then so be it. As for me being over protective towards referees, I don’t think so, I would just like others to understand the game from an officials point of view. A lot of football fans who watch games don’t even know the laws of the game, let alone ever refereed a game. But are very quick at finding fault with them. Imagine if someone posted all the faults, and perceived mistakes from every player in a game!!. They make far far more than any official.
  17. 90% of people in attendance were City fans, so obviously ‘thought’ it was a penalty. I couldn’t have called it until I saw the camera view from behind the goal. The halfway line high up camera view wasn’t conclusive, and a referee at ground level 30 yards behind could never have been sure. Let’s be realistic, if that was a QPR player going down in the box, 90% of the crowd would have said it wasn’t a penalty!.
  18. I’m just pointing out that the referee doesn’t get the ‘behind the goal cameras view’ you have seen. I’m not getting into whether he was a good or bad ref, just pointing out that referees get one view of incidents, not the 4-5 the various cameras give you.
  19. Well, you and him clearly don’t understand the ‘laws’ of the game, because Towler’s is a yellow card by law!.
  20. Towler’s challenge was a genuine attempt to get the ball. Under the laws of the game a yellow card and penalty is 100 % the correct call by the referee.
  21. The behind the goal view, so in other words the view the referee didn’t get!.
  22. Whilst having his shirt held on too! A clear penalty.
  23. Probably not a good time to make this point ( after last night ). But, what you have said in defence of a player, is exactly the scenario for the referee in every decision they have to make.
  24. He knew 100% he had been booked, because he walked straight off the pitch without looking back when he committed the stupid foul on the halfway line!.
