Agree. Not just because we won but that was one of the most enjoyable games I’ve been to for a long time. The work rate and attitude was fantastic Sets up Sunday nicely. Going to be a different kind of game though and we will see how resilient we really are

I didn’t say it was 46 shit games. I certainly don’t think it was acceptable though. And at the very least I expected to see some progress this season compared to last….even if it was just a little bit

‘Yesterdays manager’ Football has moved on in the last few years. Managers who got success a few years ago have not evolved their styles and they can no longer cut it Time to move him on. This team look worse now then when he took over . He’s been an absolute shambles

Let’s be honest….there’s been plenty to post negative things about. It’s been a hugely negative experience the last 5 years and no real signs of it getting any better

You can’t honestly have a pop at fans who get edgy towards the end of games. How we held on to that was just unbelievable would have taken a point at the start but we really are in absolute dire straits

More like there are a group of people who are sick to the back teeth of us constantly bottling at the end of games

Thanks for the reply Dave. Always look forward to your responses pal I kind of understand where your coming from regarding only being 2 games again, but surely we cannot just forget the last 12 months. Especially when the first two games indicate we are carrying on from where we left off?

No one expects us to turn teams over. Had we drew 0-0 yesterday with a fairly solid defensive performance….I’d argue that was signs of improvement I’m getting fed up of people making out like we have got a squad of players that are not good enough for this level. You’re brainwashed . Where as they may not be a top 6 or even a top 10squad, this manager and the coaches SHOULD be getting far more out of them We have just bought in Luton’s player of the year and already we have turned him into an absolute liability . Now….if that’s because he isn’t being played in the right role….then who’s fault is that?? This team should be doing better. It just doesn’t seem to matter what personnel he starts with….it churns out the same results and the same performance week in week out The same weak mentality He has had plenty of time. 18 months and 2 pre-seasons, and we look no better now then we did when he came in. He just isn’t cutting it

And that has absolutely no bearing on what I have said above. The reality is they have been shite for the last few years

Point 10 - he HAS to change his philosophy. If we don’t have the money to buy players, we cannot just sit back with this current squad. The lad up front for Sunderland today is just what I’m talking about. Young, talented, strong….he ripped us apart The dinosaur of a manager needs to start looking at loans as this current squad is relegation fodder

At what point do we hold the manager responsible? I get it. We have no money….but neither do a lot of teams right now yet they seem to be pulling off some cracking loan signings . We have looked so poor at the back all game. Sunderland always look like scoring when they come forward Vyner - surely we have seen enough to know he is not good enough for this level The way Sunderland are playing we will crumble as the game goes on. We have no back bone

I’m sure we were told by Pearson himself it would take 3 years. I agree we have been in a mess, but there are no players on 5 year contracts so just don’t understand why people think it could take that long . We have seen a number of times where clubs in dire positions have improved rapidly when they have the right coaching staff in place (Barnsley, Huddersfield, Coventry, Forest to name a couple) We have to be aiming for top half this year, and we have to be aiming for top 6 in year 3 Jury is still out for me on Pearson. This is a huge season for him we have to say an improvement on a number of things
