  1. Yeah, I said before this game he needed 7 more points, and that's 1 ticked off. If I had to predict, I'd assume we'll lose to Norwich, beat Rotherham and anything is possible last match. But... who bloody knows with City!? I'd like 64 points, but if we finish on 61/62 I won't cry about it. Ultimately it really doesn't matter. Regards pressing high, we did for the most part today, albeit more selectively. I think Manning wants a more selective high press, but I'm not sure if the players are comfortable with that.
  2. I presume there was a chant of 'she fell over' today?!
  3. Agree mate. Huddersfield did a good job of disrupting us and we did a poor job of dealing with it. Seen it so many times before. Another very different challenge up next
  4. Anything that annoys Joey Barton is good in my book
  5. I don't think Mozo and W-S-M Seagull demanding high performance is going to make City successful. And it probably won't help our mental health because we won't get what we want. It was an irritating game, too many players were slightly off it today. Pring, McCrorie, Williams, even James were very hit and miss today and Sykes looked well off his best. But we have to be philosophical and know that over the course of ten games, you will always get at least one of these. Every single manager gets them, by the way. I appreciate that every game where we're not good will just re-awaken the feelings you have about the current boss, but whilst we're right up there in the form table, let's give him a bit of leeway and not assume that every mis-kick is his fault.
  6. It definitely feels like that. We've had it against Stoke and Millwall this season where we've been driven mad by poor home displays and classic basic defeats. I guess fans of most Championship teams would say the same mind.
  7. You can expect whatever you want, but how many years have you watched Bristol City? When did you last see consistently high levels of execution?
  8. Point being that Bristol City have had games like this under every single manager in my lifetime, more frequently than I care to imagine. Expecting perfection every week is what Man City fans do. Sadly, for ua it just won't happen. So there was a point.
  9. Mate, we won 5-0 a few days ago and won 3 in a row at home prior to today! A bit of perspective!
  10. Yeah totally agree. I think Manning missed a trick by not bringing Mehmeti on at half time, but having said that, we were the better team for most of the second half.
  11. It was a poor performance, but if you want amazing football every week, go and support Man City
  12. You're right, maybe we should appoint Pat Sharpe as our manager. It would be non-stop entertainment
  13. Is what we're going to get every time City lose now?
  14. That's the most positive post I've seen from you all season!
  15. Come on City, we need a winner to stay in contention for the playoffs!!
  16. We're playing some nice stuff now. 3rd or 4th shot actually
  17. City have taken control this half. Much better. Sykes just totally off it.
  18. It's a strange one, because we clearly look like the better team technically, but they're doing the basics better and both teams wasteful in the final third. I think if we up our game by 10% we walk away with a forgettable 1-0.
  19. It's a sign of the times that we're now thinking about Mehmeti as being a good option. I'd bring him on now.
  20. No, but a win would make your apologist comment look a bit daft.
  21. I must remember to quote this post when we score the winner
  22. Besides that he's been sloppy. Feulling the Sykes thread atm
  23. Finally some good play, probing down one wing back and round to the other wing and attack.
  24. We praise O'Leary when he does things well, but his kicking isn't his finest quality and letting us down today.
