Finding it difficult to join in this love-in for Alex Scott, sorry if that sounds harsh but to me it's like wishing your ex-wife well after she has left you for a bloke uglier than you who had a few bob, whilst you had to carry on working in Aldi.
Sainsbury's more like, Aldi would be Bristol Rovers

Surely that's them basically admitting they screwed up in plain text on official HMRC documentation. Not very clever, would have been better saying nothing because HMRC themselves don't care how much they've spent as long as they pay the correct tax and vat.

Their accounts are late again.
Likely to be bad they reckon. The new owners have already said current losses are 'unsustainable', which seems to have been swept under the carpet by the masses. Also won't include the new stand shambles which will have gone way over budget and will be in the 23-24 Accounts.
and the new owners are supposed to be property developers, what could possible go wrong?

I think their decision not to appoint someone like Warnock, could end up being their downfall now……their internal “appointment” could backfire massively.
They are badly in need of a win on Friday night……..
Yeah seemed like a no-brainer given his home location. A team with obvious attacking ability that looks like it needs 'firing up' and to get back to Home Park being a bit of fortress, like it was before Christmas.

And their director of football put in charge for rest of season!!
Would have thought it would be the perfect job for Warnock, he'd barely have to get out of bed!

For those not 'down with the kids' I believe Drum&Bass is the one where the music's at 45RPM but the drums are at 78RPM.

Ive read that about if Vardy scored loads of times. If he did then the concept of time, would have changed. Then no one would know what would have happened after.
Yes logically if Vardy scores from his first chance then he doesn't get the second or third chances because the whole game from that point plays out completely differently.

I went to the FGR Fans Forum on Tuesday because of Cotts. He was great and entertaining, effortlessly taking on a Q&A for 1 hour 40 mins with humour, honesty (sometimes brutal) insight and none of the clichés / coachspeak that we get these days.
On the other hand Dale Vince didn't turn up at all. At 19:00 we were told he was 'held up and would be along later' but even though everyone was still there at 20:45, the meeting was ended. Conveniently avoiding having to answer any difficult questions about how he's messed up the last 2 years. Ironically his son Dane (FGR 'Director of Projects') stood in for him, very much in the style of Jon Lansdown.

At this point Sonya Jacksons trumpet or Robbie Fowlers dog would be an upgrade.
He must know his time here is coming to an end, he has no respect from the fan base and is now just an object of ridicule. It's becoming hard to watch in all honesty.
In fact this whole situation reminds me when Leeds, when they were at the height of their disfunction, sacked experienced manager Brian McDermmot and hired Forest Green Manager, David Hockaday ... a hugely dissapointing appointment in the eyes of the supporters, he became an object of ridicule, was completely out of his depth, sacked after 6 games and is now genuinely a P.E Teacher at Stroud College.
Remember him only too well. He was the beginning of the end for FGR and me. Hockaday alone for 4 years was bad enough but add Dale Vince to the equation and there was no coming back. He was out of his depth at FGR and was eventually sacked, so how the Leeds thing happened is still totally beyond me even now.
The funny thing was at the time he went to Leeds, if you Googled him the number one result was a clip of apoplectic FGR supporters giving him severe verbal abuse at Grays Athletic after being relegated from the Conference (later reprieved after off the field shenanigans). It takes a lot to get FGR supporters even mildly annoyed.

Mike Reid has been dead a few years and is still find more interesting to have a conversation with. That’s the biggest bit, for me.
You know, like I said, you know, in terms of, like I said, outcomes, you know, that's the biggest bit.

and the game where the wind was blowing the greyhound track in our faces all day.
I remember the windy one, 1-0 to Rovers I think? Goalkicks were ending up heading backwards towards the keeper. There was a shunt on the M32 right behind the away terrace which must have been so embarrassing for the drivers being how they were jeered by a couple of thousand City fans.
In my memory, that was the last Derby game at Eastville but I must be wrong if it is the one featured above.

York City higher average gate than Wolves!
This was when Wolves were following City in plummeting from Div 1 to Div 4 in consecutive seasons.

I'm not quite that old!
It was around the time Canvey won the FA Trophy when they beat FGR. The combination of unplayable ground and extra Trophy games meant they had a huge backlog.

I've got a vague memory of Canvey Island once having to play 2 games on the same day once due to fixture backup. If ever there was a club most likely to flood it was them. Right next to the Thames and in the ground it felt like you were below the river, due to the huge dykes along the river bank.

Don't see how it makes any difference to P&S Regs. £39m plus Allowables set against £24m in equity ie the first £24m in any given 3 Year Period.
That aside it seems inordinately and oddly high.
I agree don't think it affects FFP/PSR. It's just a case that if someone thinks that a 40% share in Ipswich is worth £110 million then that's their choice and their potential loss. I can think of a lot less risky options than investing in a football club!

Let's not be too generous, it was 87...
Actually we both did them a grave mis-service The official figure was 126 taken from their 'guess the crowd' thread on GasChat.
I for one can only apologise for besmirching their good name.
Man City fans can only bow down at this sort of following.

Yep right up there with Newcastle, Man City. Renowned around the world. Took 125 to Fleetwood.

Very good statement. I go back to 1950 and there's only two that I can think of that were worse for confidence and team spirit.
Peter Doherty in 1958 and Pulis.
Even SO'D and McInnes had some good spells and tried to play football.
I'll raise you Jimmy Lumsden; took over a very good Joe Jordan Division 2 (Championship in modern terms) team, turned it into a relegation battle in just over a year and got rid of Bob Taylor. Interestingly I don't think he ever managed again but was a successful Coach under David Moyes for a long time.

I must have worked with her as I worked at Central Middx Hospital 1984-1987!
The name must have been a bit of a commentators nightmare, like Fonguck currently at Southend!

Actually you could argue all 3 of these teams made an unnecessary managerial change (and Sunderland who are 5th bottom of this table).
Rotherham have certainly got even worse after sacking Matty Taylor and he kept them up last season, which has to be seen as a success.
Will anyone learn from this? I doubt it.

In all seriousness i’m not sure - I imagine what he’s really saying is he wants players to work to a game plan regardless of external factors.
It would actually help if he (LM) actually explained specificall in plain English what he actually means when he says 'emotions', 'processes', 'chasing outcomes' etc. They're just nebulous words/phrases that could mean just about anything
-
The manager seems to be doing very well there, taking into account all that's been going on off the field. If they don't get any more deductions they should stay up this season.

Hmm... Given recent news I'm not sure Leicester will be signing too many players in the net year or so. Palace would be a good fit.
