  1. I would have loved to be there for that game. Although, according to most gas conspiracists, I was, like most of you too.
  2. I've only ever managed to get one message on their forum, relating to my son s disability and our effort to raise cash. They were very gracious and were very generous in their help. Beyond that, I don't think I'd bother trying ever again.
  3. Yep. Any other club's fans don't seem to suffer when the Ashes are on either.
  4. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/gasheads-gone-bristol-rovers-crowds-3297869 BP highlighting poor gas attendance. Are they breaking their own code?
  5. So how many of the 15,000 season tickets were given away then? ?
  6. That's as maybe. The key point is that 2000 fans have decided it's no longer for them, despite being in the same division with similar results etc.
  7. Its 30 years since their triumphant year. They have that to celebrate. Nothing to see here.
  8. Responding to the 10,000 break-even call, the Gas duly obliged with crowds of 6,500 when their team had won every home game. It's what they do.
  9. Assume your issue is with the timing alone? Don't tell me you'd get all offended if someone stated "this place looks like the Blitz"?
  10. Yes, they did. He's not making fun of them or belittling their suffering.
  11. That'll please them. At least they can say they have more fingers though.
  12. If Accrington turn up at Ashton Gate at 1.30pm we'll understand his mistake.
  13. Wouldn't mind playing them at Ashton Gate in the cup. Just to laugh at their comments after the match informing us how shit our stadium is.
  14. You wouldn't see him. He's fat, sitting in a chair and getting his fix of football through his new OLED screen.
  15. Maybe they all had season tickets for Wembley and didn't turn up, being counted in the attendance? Maybe they were all suffering from incontinence that day and half of them were in the toilet at any one time? Or maybe they're just liars.
  16. Would that be on direct debit? Can't imagine most gas fans have a bank account.
  17. The government won't intervene. We've lost the vast majority of great pubs serving communities across the country. Arguably closer to the core of their communities than even football clubs are. The government did nothing to stop it, even perpetuated it. Our government are full of inhuman narcissists. Good luck.
  18. Not a bad idea. A bit like most physical acts of violence. The victim has to press charges?
  19. I fully support the general idea that hate crime needs to be dealt with. How, exactly, is another conversation. But soon it will be a crime to be angry at someone. I can see the scenario - someone spills their pint over you. You impulsively call them an [expletive] idiot. You're in front of a magistrate. I say "how exactly" because I loathe the fact that we've decided to categorise some things as more important as others. Offend someone with reference to their race and your career, family life and everything else could be finished. Spout foul mouthed abuse at a disabled person with reference to their disability (I believe that to be even worse) and old bill won't be interested. That is disgusting in my view.
  20. This is no particular opinion on the homophobic chanting at the Mem, but I firmly feel we are but a few years away from almost everything being deemed offensive and therefore illegal. What was mildly annoying in 2000 will be a jail sentence for someone in 2030. There is no end to it. Chanting someone has a "slaphead" will be construed as offensive. Pointing out someone is a speccy-tw** will earn you a conviction for hate crime - a new law from 2028 which doesn't allow you to make any comment about someone's appearance. You might think I'm talking crap, but you'd have said the same about current laws 15 years ago and the relentless influence of social media will see the shift continue.
