  1. R.I.P Captain Sir Tom Moore. An inspiration to everyone, and a lovely man to boot. Sleep tight Sir.
  2. Watch Wayne Rooney stood on the touchline as a manager. Every 30 seconds or so, he spits on the ground. Its obviously habit, but its disgusting, unnessasary , and in these days, dangerous.
  3. I wonder if Bristol do win the League, would SL feel that his rugby ambition has been fulfilled, and so turn his attention to getting City to the top flight. ?
  4. Problem is though , is that no one knows how long the vaccination will last, ie length of immunisation. It may be a year, or maybe much less and so people may need vaccinating for a second time, before some have even had their first. This could go on for a couple of years before a routine settles down, as it has with the flu vaccine, and if necessary, specials units built.
  5. If the rumours of total lockdown immediately after Xmas are true, the other 3 games being touted as admitting fans, just wont happen. Is it really worth going through all the procedural nightmares, for the club, just for one game?
  6. Presumably with the relaxation of rules now for Xmas Day only, Will fans not now be allowed in the Gate on Boxing Day ?
  7. I hope Im one of the lucky ones...................Not to be picked out.
  8. Technically the fans HAVE been watching City at AG in the last few weeks. Sort it out between you lads.
  9. Sorry, but you say that JL is childish in making some of his tweets, then resort to calling him Junior.
  10. Knowing what we know now, its interesting reading the first couple of pages of this thread, from February.
  11. A few years ago, my company issued a Health and Safety notice that all machine shop employees had to wear safety glasses and gloves, along with the already mandatory safety boots and overalls. The issue I had was with the latex gloves, believing them to be uncomfortable, sweaty and would hinder my ability to use equipment etc, so after many complaints the wearing of gloves was optional. Then, I actually contacted a skin condition connected to the chemicals used in work resulting in very dry , cracked and itchy hands, and started wearing the gloves as a part of the treatment. 3 years on, my skin condition has totally cleared up but I feel unable to function WITHOUT the gloves now, even wearing them at home for the most mundane DIY jobs.
  12. This has probably been asked before, but when the games are played behind closed doors, will the home club have to announce an official attendance, ie the number of ST sold , for tax reasons? Whenever an attendance was queried before, the answer is always, they count tickets sold not bums on seats.
  13. Im all in favour of finishing this season whenever possible, but preferably before the end of November. Then we can have a two week break break before starting 20-21 season in December, and having a 23 game season, ie 50%. Play everyone once, with the home and away fixtures done via a random draw. Everyone knows the rules before it starts. If the remainder of this season, or part of next has to be behind closed doors, so be it, but this season HAS to finish.
  14. That is actually the most sensible option Ive heard. As long as all clubs know the rules before next season starts , they cant complain. Changing the rules for this season now, three quarters through holds all sorts of implications. But obviously the fans would need to be recompensed , as we've already forked out for a full sized ST for next year.
  15. They look like the teenage ninja turtles. The husband seems to be enjoying it just a little too much though.
  16. This, this and this. A family member is SE and always had wads of notes in his wallet. He once told me the percentage of his earnings that goes through the taxman, and while I dont recall the exact number, it was shockingly low. He even said the accountants, well his anyway, know that its going on.
  17. I wonder when or if, they will start including deaths indirectly caused by the virus. People are still having heart attacks, strokes and serious car accidents etc, and if the resources arent available to save them, when they otherwise probably would be, thats a CV related death surely.
  18. And the sadly ironic thing is that these are the very same people who will be pleading poverty and demanding handouts in two weeks time.
  19. My boss has a quote from Richard Branson hanging on the wall behind his desk. I cant recall the exact wording but its to the effect of "If the company looks after its employees, its employees will look after the company"
