Agree entirely but we have done it before and ended up with a draw. -

Woke up this morning to a fantastic result. Great effort by the team and nice to see Bell on the scoresheet. Have a few winnable games coming up so lets keep the momentum going. Only downside is seeing we conceded yet again at the death which is becoming a regular occurrence. Just as well we were 3 up. Anyway, great result so upwards & onwards. -

Recall a few years back a cruise through the Caribbean that ended in New Orleans. Had I think 2 days in New Orleans before flying home. Met this guy and his Wife in a bar downtown who asked if we were on the cruise. We replied, Yes. For some reason known only to himself he then went on a rant to say that he thought the done thing was to wear a jacket at dinner at all times to which I replied, "Why ?, what difference does it make except on formal nights" Anyway to cut a short story long the next time I saw him was when he was in front of me checking off the ship and paying the final bill the next day. His first credit card bounced and then so did his second. I suggested to him that is was prudent and the done thing that he could afford to pay for his cruise rather than criticise others for their lack of dress sense, What a feckin pillock !!! -

Have some friends who cruise every year with their 2 kids. Theirs are maybe 2 or 3 years older than yours but they hardly see the kids while on board as so much for them to do. Yours will love it I'm sure. Will give you Mrs Chip time to chill. -

Wife just reminded me that we always book the early sitting for dinner as it gives more time to take in the shows etc. -

We've done several and just love it. Generally I think the drinks package is expensive so think you have done the right thing. My Wife doesn't drink so I normally order a bottle of wine for myself at dinner, drink half and then they save the balance for me until next day. Never been on Iona so unsure what facilities they have for the kids but would be 100% sure they will have plenty to keep them occupied. Certainly always plenty for adults. Some people find the formal dining nights a pain in the bum but we always embrace it, dress up in our bestest clobber and enjoy ourselves. Ensure that you have a good comprehensive travel insurance as taking sick and ending up in the onboard infirmary can be an expensive experience as my Mother found out some years back. Just enjoy yourselves, relax and take everything in. BTW, I'm jealous !!!! -

Indeed, its a right pisser -
For many years, it was believed that the name came from the fact that the original series was sponsored by the New York World Telegram newspaper, thus becoming known as the ‘World’s Series’. However, popular as this explanation may be, it’s not actually true and although the newspaper did report the results of the games, it had nothing to do with the naming of the competition. The real reason behind the name is thanks to Barney Dreyfuss who was the owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1903, he wrote to the owner of the Boston Red Sox challenging them to a ‘World’s Championship Series’. The Pirates were the best team in the National League and the Red Sox were the best in the American League. The games went ahead and Boston won the series five games to three. Over time, the 'World’s Championship Series' name has been shortened to the World Series and has been played every year apart from 1904 and 1994.

I remember flying back to Dublin after the final. I am looking the doggies gonads in my City shirt and am in row 23 of the Aer Lingus flight. Get on the flight pretty much last to find that rows 1 - 22 are nearly all Hull fans also decked out & celebrating accordingly. What started as friendly banter as I walked down the aisle started to change circa row 15 and I was getting totally pissed off by the ***** !!!

Agree with that Moz but my main concern is that we need to concentrate right up to the final whistle whether that be 90 mins or 97 mins. We concede too many at the death of a game, Saying that yesterday was a great result and lets hope we can build on that. Maybe the cup run has instilled some well deserved confidence.

Agree, and IMO that does seem to be the trend every season.

Not at all. We won by scoring more than them. That is the purpose of the game.
