T’was a wagtail. I just assumed it was having a bit of a wash, where the ground could be a bit wetter, near where the sprinklers pop up.

(definitely the most random thing I’ve posted on OTIB!)

    Here to help...

  2. Was I alone in spotting the bird swooping down onto the pitch throughout the second half of the game on Saturday?  East End end?

I think it was either a pied or grey wagtail but couldn't tell from the 32nd row of the Dolman.  What are other readers thoughts?

And my dog Rover is long gone 💀

I hope that Rover wasn't a Corgi.  Using a dodgy gas engineer to remove your boiler would have been quite frankly fool-hardy..

But then again, getting a dog to remove your gas boiler would have been madness.  What was I thinking?

Millwall the family club will never change.

Shame the fa dont seem to take the same stance with Celtic’s vile chants, banners, pyro & flares etc… why not?

Wouldn't it be the SFA who would need to take action against Celtic?  Or UEFA?

Definitely like that, once you exercise the option to purchase (marry) you suddenly aren't getting what you were getting before.

As we found out with Tomlin...a dirty little minx on loan, turned into a frump and we couldn't score...

  6. Now that Graeme Garden Higgs-Bosun has signed on loan with the option to buy, just trying to recall the last time that we actually triggered that option to buy because the loanee shone during their time here?  Did Andy Cole come on that basis or did we just buy him in the Summer because we'd all fallen in love with him?

I think that Diony came on that basis (we didn't take up the option THANK GOD), Leto maybe (again, no deal).  Kasey Palmer maybe?

sadly, the phrase "Loan with the option to buy" leaves me feeling somewhat "meh"

  7. I find 442's recent journalism to be lazy.  It's almost like they sit in the office and go "West Brom and Norwich will be up there, they're big clubs...", "Let's pick a club with the momentum of promotion from last season (it can't be Plymouth because we can't be bothered to venture that far out-west", "Blackburn and Sunderland did ok last season so we'll back them" and that old chestnut "Leicester and Southampton will bounce back; 2 clubs always do.  Haemorhaged players?  Have they?".

"Let's fill in the gaps....oh, you missed Hull...where is there a gap?"

  8. I went to Middlesex Poly in the late 80s/early 90s.  During 1989 (I think it was), The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and Inspiral Carpets played at different sites across the Poly, all within a fortnight.  I couldn't afford to go to all 3 so chose the one at my most local site, Enfield (Ponders End).  It was the Inspiral Carpets.  Oh well (although they weren't shabby).

Is it a secret like where we never told people about Noel in Caldicot castle and now tickets are about £150

Not quite.  Tickets will still be £150 for the Foos I'm sure!  By the way, I'll be missing Noel even though he's 100 yards from my front door: flying back from holiday.  Seeing him in Taunton instead.

No, Foo Fighters: my son's girlfriend's brother play in HIMALAYAS who are on the bill; quite a coup for them.  I imagine they'll have someone bigger before them like MSP maybe?

Let me know when Foo Fighters and Pulps arrive. So I can message my daughter there and she will pee her pants ?

Let your daughter know as well that the Foos are playing Cardiff next June (25th).  I have it on VERY good authority...

  11. First game - the Friday night game as I fly to Portugal Saturday lunchtime.

First away - Now who could I miss quite happily.  QPR maybe?  Bored of their pokey little shed of a ground (although it is a good day out to be fair and a recent happy hunting ground).  Preston then?

Boxing Day - Cardiff home although there's no chance

Final game - a winner talks all scrap v Watford at their place
