Yes O’Neills has been fabulous…. Where is our away kit? Why our are collars too big? Why didn’t our socks match our shirts until the last game?

Don't get me wrong I'm not sticking up for o'neills - it looks shit from top to bottom, but we do have a kit, as well as a change kit.

Hummell despite being the best kits we've had for ages, fell when it mattered most - delivering kits to the team, which in turn ended up (probably) being the explanation for poor stock levels in the shop last year- the squad using kits from the shop!

A lot has been made of us parting ways with Hummel.

Coventry still haven't released their away (or 3rd) kits and they are going to need that for Sunday.

Their home kits won't be on sale until after about 3 games into the season.

They only just managed to get home kits to play friendlies in but didn't even have enough time to put the sponsor on.

We don't need an away kit ASAP as we have the 3rd kit.

And people wonder why we moved away from Hummel despite other clubs sticking!

The socks actually look the right colour today? Or is it just my TV! Maybe they’ve listened …

Yes they're different. Finally now the correct colour to match the shirts!

As much as this is a good thing… our kit has now changed every match since it was released ?

    Kinnel...same colour socks ?

Definitely changed the socks, it now doesn't look as blindingly odd as it did before.

Still looks shit, but not as odd. At least that's something.

If the league have it in their power wave some regs they might, for example, take into account exceptional circumstances that are unlucky or outside a clubs control.

Taking down existing stands before even getting planning permission for a replacement build doesn't qualify as unlucky does it? It's self inflicted chaos.

    Quite.

If the old stand had been damaged in some way - for example a fire, or a bad storm (maybe blowing it away ?) then I'm pretty sure that the league, and maybe even Barnsley would look at it sympathetically. Fact is as you say, they knocked down the old one before the planning permission had been granted. They haven't got a leg to stand on.

They can be next seasons laughing stock of the EFL for a different reason now...

So not really a stand then? :laughcont:

They mean undercover - you don't really know they're there. Going to plan exactly then...

Apparently taken today. Looks like they've got the internal walls up. ?

If I was a resident behind that end I'd be encouraging the stand to go up for 2 reasons:

    1. I'd be worried about my windows getting hit with a ball when they try to shoot

    2. To hide the monstrosity of the rest of that dump.

In all seriousness, the reason the sags arent worried about it is because it's all in hand.

This little beauty is on order, and can be delivered by August 8th - that's if I order now. They'll have had this ordered weeks ago. Don't panic Captain Mainwaring.

Is that a poorly constructed concrete ramp? ... or the steady outflow of something disgusting and unmentionable from within?

Sorry this may have been mentioned and missed by me, but is that a statue of a horse outside their toilets!?

Faded or a completely different colour

    Completely different colour.

It's almost as if the socks were an after thought, that's the only colour material they had left, and someone went "yeah close enough, use that!"

The poor colour of the shirt might not have been so bad if it matched the socks. As it is, it just looks like Scotty forgot to bring them along with him, and had to rush out to sports direct to get the closest match just in time for the game.

Bit confused as the original question was in regards to payments for HNM...

Some talk from "John" down the Barley Mow when he signed saying that we had signed him on behalf of Chelsea because they were under a transfer embargo at the time. They were going to "buy" him from us after it was lifted.

"John" was clearly issed as a newt when he said it....

It would be absolutely awful if, say, 200 non-supporters booked up all of the places for their launch night then not turn up. Just saying …

Mike Hunt is looking forward to it.

Also in an unrelated note, if your name is Mike Hunt and you have a Hotmail address, you'll probably get some junk mail soon...

The Council/decision would be in judicial review territory if they have! Pretty sure we’re still in the statutory consultation period. Personally, would have thought it would be highly improbable that a decision would be made within 8 weeks - which I think in this case is sometime late in August.

Frankly, having been involved in planning for 40 odd years, I can’t understand what the hell Rovers are doing with their submission and frankly  - all be it from the briefest of glances - how it got validated. It was patently obvious to anyone ITK that the ‘stand’ would not be remotely ready for the start of the season if due process was followed. I’m not even sure pp will be granted tbh.

I'm not ITK or even involved with anything to do with building and/or obtaining planning permission, but to be fair anybody that doesn't live with their heads buried in the sand would probably realise that that stand was never going to be ready for the start of the season.

    Unless of course you're deluded....

    Highlights -

Didn't see it in the thread.

    Thanks for that.

Some very good goals there - yes it's Swindon, and yes it's possibly not their first 11, and yes it's a friendly. However, some of the build up play and passes were very good, especially considering that this is only our 2nd(?) friendly (happy to be corrected- have ofsted in at school and my brains fried!)

I'll go on record now and say that if we can keep Scott (unlikely admittedly) and both he and Conway stay relatively injury free, we are going to do fairly well this season. Those couple from Bell were also not bad goals either.

The Wells factor (especially with Conway and Bell) is really starting to show why he was kept on when some were happy for him to go. Add Jason Euell in as well, and I think we'll be OK for strikers for a few years...

  14. They'll just end up clearing that pile of crap out of the way (no not the stadium, the actual pile of crap) on the edge of the pitch, flatten it down (with an old rusted garden roller), and then pop to B & Q to get some more of the patio chairs.

Apparently they're also going to offer a discount of 50p if you can bring your own chair when you buy a ticket.

Absolutely incredible that Barton should be suggesting that anyone (especially young people following him on twitter) should pay any attention to what that animal has to say.

A new low for him, and the club that seems to support him so strongly.

Said it before and I'll say it again - I'm sure he says and does stuff to try and get the sack!

Knowing him, he'll have a watertight agreemeent in place (cleary not drafted by the Sags legal department) stating that in the event of being sacked, he'll get so many millions in compensation (probably). They don't have a pot to piss in, and Wally can't afford to sack him as a result, therefore he does and says what he wants knowing he's untouchable.

Meanwhile the morons continue to dribble over him and think he's the new messiah. Long live Scummy Barton.
