A Pretty Good Question From The Clubs Twitter…
Barrs Court Red replied to Silvio Dante's topic in Football Chat
City 5 Luton 2. Goodridge and Goater were unplayable that night (this is more a personal fav) The pre Christmas derby - that was unbelievable -
“ We will share our designs and plans once we have obtained all the necessary approvals.” Thats not how it works mate.

One of the best chants we’ve had.

I’ve found myself doing the same. The Bears “stamp” the other day being a great example.

Disgusting. You could see the sodding ball on the ground.

Nottingham Forest away fourth round FA Cup replay match thread

I remember one against Colchester in the League cup, but that was when the Atyeo opened. -
Purely as a fan, what is your expectation / hope for City?
Barrs Court Red replied to reddogkev's topic in Football Chat
Mid table prem? European football is very much on the radar. What it would mean, is that when we do have the likes of Alex Scott, we can keep them for longer. We could probably afford to sustain a cat 1 academy as well. -
Funny thing, there’s a kernel of truth in there - the amount of houses going up in South Glos and expansion is large and will only continue. Problem for them though, the days of a north/south split are dead. And with no real way of tapping into that growing population they continue with an aging demographic with an inferior “product” to attract families.

Just over 7k at the Pisspoorial isn’t going to cover the repayments on the pay day loan used to build the new monument to pillars and corrugated iron. Shit fan base, full of weirdos.

It’s a one sided rivalry - They see it, or at least did, as a rivalry.

Expectation - in the near term, for the club to continue to meander through the Championship. Success is based on producing players for selling on to mediocre tier prem clubs. Hope - The club is sold. -
Was this the season some young guy scored a load of goals away at Exeter in a friendly (Gillespie?) everyone got very excited and…he never really made it?
-
Not sure on this. It’s nice to have a different angle to choose from I guess.

While nothing is guaranteed, I think relegation is extremely unlikely. Not exactly a glowing endorsement of the manager that we’ve even started having this conversation though.

What in the name of Clayton Fortunes first touch did we sign him to be?

Dreary songs seem to be a theme. Singing at football ain’t my bag these days, but the shite I hear nowadays is tragic. Get 50 OG’s from the Reopen the EE era and it would be banging for 90 magical minutes.

Last night’s “sold out” Ashton Gate?
Barrs Court Red replied to Wokingham Red's topic in Football Chat
I’m frankly bored of randoms appearing for the 2nd half up in the family area. So yeah, I think it’s fairly widespread that people don’t sit in their seat - which to be honest, I wouldn’t usually care about but either have an area that’s restricted access and manage it accordingly, or just remove the restriction. -

I thought we looked more likely for a point at their place later in the game - we’ve regressed on this evidence. BUT like I posted at half time, I think the cup run has taken an awful lot out of the squad. -

A tough run of games, so I’m not overly surprised this is seemingly below par. -
Feedback from the latest SC&T meeting with BCFC
Barrs Court Red replied to phantom's topic in Football Chat
I wonder if they’ve actually used the Park and Ride schemes, because my perception with the AG2 is that it’s starting to creak at the seams a little. Would be great to see a service from the North of Bristol. -
Dire Mebude signed on loan - CONFIRMED
Barrs Court Red replied to westonred's topic in Football Chat
I’m more than happy to mug off the clubs hierarchy, but I certainly won’t for not sticking rigidly to an aspirational transfer vision. -
Depends though. I assume if you’re buying Bears, you’re getting the brand, playing and coaching staff, existing liabilities and…well aren’t all enabling services provided by Bristol Sport? That’s a pretty hefty outlay without the benefit of experience with the brand to start with.

Could have at least used an accurate depiction and included the correct amount of fingers for the local area.
