  1. We could lose every game 5-0 and we'd still never be as bad as some on here like to claim.
  2. Goal was against the run of play, not complaining mind. Could do with an extra body in midfield.
  3. So if we win the next 2 away, but don't win either home game, potentially picking up 8 points in 4 games if the home games are draws, you'd want a change of manager? Just checking I've read that right.
  4. Bath Leeds are actually in the 3rd tier now, went down last season.
  5. 6. Some results from today: Banbury Utd 1-0 Bath Bromsgrove Sporting 0-5 Grimsby Corinthian Casuals 1-1 St Albans Dover 1-1 Yate Hereford 0-1 Solihull Moors Torquay 2-2 Havant & Waterloovile Yeovil 1-1 Weymouth Replays to take place this week. First round draw is on ITV tomorrow afternoon at 1:05pm.
  7. He did an interview a few weeks ago where he admitted that it wasn't and was glad to let Bentley take over.
  8. Complete nothing player.
  9. **** me a defeat brings them all out. There's a fair bit to pick over after that but there are some very jerky knees out there.
  10. Coldest I've ever been was at Doncaster's old ground, it was a midweek game in December (2004ish) and the away end was an open terrace. It was that cold that you could literally see the frost forming on the edges of the pitch during the second half.
  11. I'm assuming Director of Football Operations (whatever that means) is a step up from Academy Manager?
  12. Probably the fairest way to do it if they were insisting on it happening next year, although they're probably secretly relieved that Notts didn't win the title seeing as they aren't in a position to defend it! 14 fixtures per side which means not everyone in D1 will play each other twice, although I suspect they might try and arrange it so that each team gets 2 fixtures against their 'rival' - Lancs/Yorks, Somerset/Glos etc Division One: Essex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Kent, Lancashire, Northamptonshire, Somerset, Surrey, Warwickshire, Yorkshire. Division Two: Durham, Derbyshire, Glamorgan, Leicestershire, Middlesex, Nottinghamshire, Sussex, Worcestershire.
  13. The England Lions squad which will tour Australia and provide cover for the main squad has been announced: Tom Abell (Somerset), Josh Bohannon (Lancashire), James Bracey (Gloucestershire), Brydon Carse (Durham), Mason Crane (Hampshire), Matthew Fisher (Yorkshire), Ben Foakes (Surrey), Alex Lees (Durham), Saqib Mahmood (Lancashire), Liam Norwell (Warwickshire), Matt Parkinson (Lancashire), Dom Sibley (Warwickshire), Jamie Smith (Surrey), Rob Yates (Warwickshire).
  14. Chesterfield on a midweek evening in GJs early days where we were on that losing run, lost 3-0 in the rain. A 2-0 defeat at Blackburn in the Cup under McInnes, who was sacked a week later. Grim weather, grim performance. It took us until about 10 minutes from the end to register a shot on target, which brought scenes of wild celebration from the away end. At full time the fans properly turned on the players, which led to Cole Skuse coming over to try and placate/apologise, to litle effect. A 1-0 defeat at Crewe under SO'D. An awful game between 2 awful teams settled by an injury time penalty for them. My particular memory is JET barely breaking a sweat to try and do anything, to the point where the decision to sub him midway through the 2nd half was met with rapturous applause.
  15. Don't suppose Bumble suggested who else should have been in it?
  16. Yeah, I think he'll go after 2022. It'll be his decision though, no chance the FA would sack him after the last couple of tournaments. The "easy draw" stuff is a load of nonsense, frankly. Almost exclusively the domain of people who have to look for any reason they can to downplay British (particulary English) achievement, regardless of the sport.
  17. There is but they don't put on any extra trains or carriages on match days, so I wouldn't rely on it.
  18. Was suspended due to crowd trouble and has just restarted.
  19. People regularly ask why Southgate doesn't go more attacking in midfield. Tonight provided the answer. Hungary are no world beaters yet they walked through the midfield regularly.
