    He took them from Champions to 7th, he was never surviving that. That said, there's a certain irony in that if he hadn't already managed United, he'd probably be being talked about as a leading contender if they bin Solskjaer.

    The end of the month and beginning of January is busy as ever, but I think there's usually a midweek game somewhere in December whereas this season there isn't.

    Actually once this international break is done, we have one midweek game after the first weekend back, but between then and Christmas it's one game a week which is quite useful for easing him and others back in.
